Fog Dude
The results went into the opening post on Sunday night, and the new table was calculated soon after that. After AFC Bournemouth took the lead out of nowhere at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, it looked as if Vegeta was on for a huge haul of bonuses... but then West Ham pegged them back for a draw and everybody else got 2 extra points instead. That meant he in fact ended up as the joint worst performer for the round along with the flailing Stinky Dad. In a high-scoring round with an average of 9 points per participant, TildeGuy produced the strongest display with 15 points to move him into second place, just 9 behind Glenryck. Away from east London, home wins in Leicester, Edinburgh and Amsterdam proved fruitful, as did score draws at Goodison Park and the San Siro. The other match in Scotland fortunately wasn't one of those that fell to inclement weather conditions north of the border, which was good news for most players as it ended, like the game at Turf Moor, in a widely foreseen away victory. Crucial triumphs for Stoke and Sampdoria turned out to be more difficult to guess beforehand. A new set of 10 will be up in the original post very shortly. Fog Dude
The final scores went into the original post on Sunday night, and the updated table was figured out just after that. AC Milan put themselves (just about) back in distant contention for a Champions League place with a win over third-placed Lazio. In the process they also earned MVP RULZ 14 bonus points and catapulted him up the table. In a round where the average haul was 7.8 points, the former champion only got one point from the other 9 matches! Without the bonuses, ultimo would've been top scorer as the only other participant into double figures. Grecian slips into the bottom half as the worst performer this time out, whilst Stinky Dad closes the gap at the bottom by one point. Glenryck still leads the standings by 7. Away from Italy, an away victory for Wolfsburg proved more fruitful than a goalless draw at the Weserstadion. Even closer to home, single-goal successes for Saints and the Blades turned out to be the best of a bad bunch of Cup scorelines. The outcome at Hull wasn't too bad, but Birmingham and Swansea earning replays against Premier League opposition caught most people out. Progress – and a measure of revenge for the final day of the 2015-16 regular reason – for Brighton and a triumph for 2013 winners Wigan ended up being difficult to foresee. A new set of 10 will be up in the opening post very soon.
