Statto
WWE within walking distance of my house. Never thought I'd say that without moving. Â If this was the deal for Swagger not coming tomorrow, good deal.
Krytie 2X4B 523P
What's the capacity of Epic Studios? Didn't think it was that big, by WWE standards
Statto
I was going to guess at about 1500, and the website gives that as the capacity of 'Studio 1', which is where WAW use & where this will be. So for wrestling, 1200 maybe?
Paid Members Weezenal Posted March 10, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 10, 2017 Read it's just 900.
Paid Members mim731 Posted March 10, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 10, 2017 If you're on the Progress mailing list, check your email. They have a 4 hour pre-sale window for the WWE UK event for mailing list subscribers starting now by the looks of it. Just as a heads up.

The Clint
They held a Raw house show in Coventry in 2008 I think which only held 1,000 at best. Quite bizzare for WWE to book a venue like that during a UK tour. Back in 93/94 maybe .
Merzbow
The Skydome in Cov holds 3000 and that's without the seats on the floow for a wrestling gig.
The Clint
Must've been another venue I was thinking of then. I know they held one house show during that time with a piss poor capacity.
Paid Members Big Benny HG Posted March 10, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 10, 2017 Interesting news for a few reasons.  - While I think it was known, this seems to confirm that they are pressing ahead with the idea of a WWE:UK TV show, either as Network content or for a UK TV partner.  - Venue choice would seem to indicate something along similar lines to NXT and would appear similar to Full Sail's studios (though slightly bigger).  - Offering the best tickets via pre-sale to PROGRESS mailing list members further underlines the relationship between PROGRESS and WWE. What with PROGRESS giving a load of people new custom entrance themes on their last shows (and then openly asking for bands/producers/etc. to get in touch about producing new music), which we were told was the final step in ICW getting on the Network, I guessing it's looking fairly likely that we'll see some PROGRESS content on the Network before long. Not sure if they've also offered the same presale to ICW, RevPro, OTT, etc. customers.  - .... and WAW perhaps look to be on board too, coming under that same umbrella (EDIT:... or maybe not, listening to Ricky's interview....)  Oh, and:  "It’s exciting to come to Norwich for the very first time," said Paul "Triple H" Levesque
ClassicsGuy
Tv tapeing? They're running 2 consecutive days in a tv studio. They havent announced them as tv tapings but it's pretty obvious that they are going to be. The most interesting thing to me is the timing.  Meltzer stated last night that a deal between Anthem & ITV will be announced imminently.  As with the UK tournament being announced shortly before World of Sport aired, this announcement of tapings is being made just before Anthem & ITV make their big announcement. Both things purely coincidental of course. (wink wink).  The Norwich tapings don't clash with any PROGRESS/Rev-Pro/ICW dates but the 1st night does clash with an Over the Top Dublin show on May 6. The Dart
The inclusion of the 205 Live roster is interesting. Wonder if that's just to help shift tickets. I'd imagine they'd have no problem selling it out with just the UK guys though.
Statto
Interesting news for a few reasons.  - Venue choice would seem to indicate something along similar lines to NXT and would appear similar to Full Sail's studios (though slightly bigger).  This much is true - although it gets used for gigs, club nights, boxing as well as wrestling EPIC remains a set of fully-functioning TV studios. Used to be ITV Anglia's "large floor" studios. Trisha used to be broadcast from there.  From what I've seen on Facebook, it looks like WAW are debuting an even swankier entrance set-up tonight. Guess we know why now!
ClassicsGuy
The other thing is WWE previously announced 6 Man tags featuring the UK tournament guys would be taking place on the main roster live events during the May European tour. Â Obviously that's not happening in Belfast, Valencia, A Coruna & Liverpool on May 6 & 7.
