Guest
Freebirds to induct? An excuse to tell more stories after being pretty entertaining last year.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 6, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 6, 2017 It's gotta be them, Cornette or the Midnights you'd imagine.
Otto Dem Wanz
I was wondering about Cornette actually, hard to say if his beef with Dunne would matter to either party if he was brought back for something like this on a one night basis. Â Glad to see you all think they're a HOF level tag team, that's two more than decent inductees for 2017 so far then.
JustinSeminate
Of the guys mentioned, I think Shamrock and Cornette are still currently on the "enemies of WWE" list.  I'd love to see the Rockers inducted, but I think old MJ is on the enemies list too  Purely on entrance music brilliance alone, I'd LOVE to see the Rougeaus and Jimmy Hart out there
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted February 6, 2017 Awards Moderator Share Posted February 6, 2017 What did Shamrock do to get in their bad books?
Jon-Carr_92
Jannetty was named in that concussion lawsuit last year which will be it.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted February 7, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2017 Massively, massively deserved Otto- one of the all-time greats in tag team wrestling. Kings of the babyface sympathy and hot tag. The only reason they haven't gone in sooner is no doubt due to the fact they've done very little for WWE. Â Midnights next please. Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan, not the lesser original version (somewhere Butch is raging). Im fine with either Bobby Eaton version of the midnights, think they both were awesome, although would prefer Stan Lane went in with Steve Keirn. Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 7, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 7, 2017 I'll get me coat. Chuffing Morton & Gibson. They're not my bag, but I won't deny they've had a long, illustrious career. Jobbing to the Heavenly Bodies at Survivors '93. Putting all those teams over in WCW in '96. That heel run in 1998 as part of the NWA angle. Their time as members of S.E.X in the early days of TNA. Â I agree that the Midnights should be in though. What are Randy Rose and Norvell Austin up to?
jonnybgoode82
No way will they ever give Jim Cornette a live mic. And I can't see the Midnights inducting them either because they'll just stand there frozen with the mic on. Â Perhaps HBK to induct them

Depending on the WWE's relationship with Cornette I'd imagine he'd be a choice to induct them, or they could always trot Hayes out to do the duties. Possibly Naitch? Moderators PowerButchi Posted February 7, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2017 Flair is a good shout, his feud with Morton was great. Maybe Lawler due to the Memphis connection. Bill Watts maybe as they drew gangbusters in Mid South.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 7, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 7, 2017 Lawler & Jerry Jarrett are the ones who created the R&R so it'd make sense for them to have him induct them. Would they induct the Midnights or keep them out as a "Fuck You" to Cornette? Maybe they'd get stick the Midnights in but inducted by Heyman. Paid Members WeeAl Posted February 7, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 7, 2017 Surely Butch is inducting them on the night? Ricky, Robert and our Butch are destined for a night of coked up debauchery, chasing tail in Downtown Disney post Hall of Fame. Â They'll be at Wrestlecon the next day, sporting dark sunglasses, bum bags, cowboy boots and jeans two sizes too tight, declaring the formation of their new group The Moustache and Mullet Express. 7 pints of Bitter and a bottle of White Lightning later and rock and roll will be alive and well again, Transatlantic style.
