Absolutely mental that they've announced a Dublin card with a main event for October 3rd and are selling tickets from this Friday, with pre-sale apparently from yesterday, but the event isn't even up on Ticketmaster yet, and pre-sale isn't even a thing for this on Three Plus.
Coz Bellator.

Wonder who they'll chuck in with Haskell on the London card?

Haskell has come across well so far in the lead up, he's clearly taking it seriously and when a British Lion rugby player says on your broadcast "this is by far the hardest thing ive ever done" its gonna give your promotion/sport some credibility and he's a great ambassador to have. He's comfortable on camera too so id imagine he make take on a panel role as well as fighting for Bellator.

He was always decent in the early days of BT Sport getting the UFC rights. He appeared pretty regularly on Beyond The Octagon and always came across well in amongst GAD waffling bollocks.

And if anyone is asking themselves why Haskell is jumping in the cage relatively late at 34 years old, his father-in-law is Richard Madeley.

A few years of Sunday dinners with that prick and you’d want to punch things as well.

There were posters up for the event before Bellator had even announced it too.

Im up and down on Gallagher, im a fan with regards to his ability to sell a fight and create abit of intrigue. Away from the crowds I always feel he comes off well with the media too, it's all a bit Conor-lite which rubs loads up the wrong way but it doesn't bother me so much.

The guys a hothead though, not a fight goes by where he isnt trying to get into some kind of fight at a media day or press conference. He was nearly fighting with Mike Kimble the last time Bellator were over. You just know that when Gallagher fights someone fully prepared to play the mind games back he's gonna lose the plot.

Bellator have been somewhat fortunate with the timing of the coronavirus outbreak. After tonight's show, they were scheduled to go on hiatus for two months anyway. Their next show is scheduled for May 9th in California.

Of course, that doesn't mean that Bellator will not be impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. It's far from certain that all will be back to normal by early May. But it does give them a bit of time to possibly find a way around some of the issues they will no doubt encounter (rescheduling, cancel live attendance, replacements, etc).

By contrast, the UFC's entire Spring schedule has been thrown into disarray overnight. The UFC are scheduled to run a show every week from now up until mid-May.
