Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted November 30, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) Also picked up a Fire Stick just now after reading this thread. Mainly to stream sports. Looking forward to messing about with it tomorrow.  EDIT: Actuslly cancelled the order as Amazon weren't getting any stock in for two weeks. Noticed a DroidPlayer box down from £70 to £39.99 in a lightening deal. It will do all the a kodi stuff right? The web seems to think so. Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted December 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) This kodi thing is awesome. So many streams. Where do I find out what channel is showing 3pm football kickoffs? Â Also I have the Watch USTV add on. But I can't seem to find how to actually access its streams. Ive been using the big black box build, although probably not as good as The Beast, it is not crashing my stick like the Beast was. With reference to the 3pm kick offs apparently the Robobcop channel has a list a streams but they do not appear until about 20 minutes to kick off, so I am going to give that a go tomorrow. Freebird
The Developer of the beast has released a build specifically for Fire Sticks.  Get Repo from: http://chrisbwizard.pcriot.com  SECTION 1 (from fresh start or new install, if upgrading jump to section 2) In Kodi go to File manager, Add Source, Type Url http://chrisbwizard.pcriot.com  name it Chrisbwizard click ok and back to home page. Then go to settings, then addons, then install from zip file, then go to Chrisbwizard, and load the ChrisB wizard. (File name wizard.zip) Once installed (there will be a pop up) you will need to go back to home screen. SECTION 2 Go to Video and select addons, Video addons, Chris B Wizard addon, then select the build you want (Little Beast)

(instructions here: http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-sideload-apps-like-kodi-onto-the-fire-tv-using-nothing-but-the-fire-tv/)  I'd also look at getting the Firestarter.apk downloaded so the stick will launch straight in to Kodi

Also, long shot, but are there are free add ons for USA Network and HBO? Â Phoenix has live US TV with both of those channels on there. Â They don't work particularly well for me, but they have worked on occasion.

Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted December 5, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2015 So I deleted the pre-loaded build I had on my box, which to be fair was working pretty good, and replaced it with The Beast. I've tried to watch a couple movies tonight. Star Wars, A New Hope and a film my girl wanted to watch called The Other Woman. It loaded a list of sources for both. But when I clicked on any source it seemed to load real quick and then just not open. Is this normal? Same for a TV show I tried to watch. Had no issues with TV shows on the pre-loaded build. Slapnut
That happens a lot on mine, mainly with Genesis. It's very hit and miss, some days it'll work like a dream, other times the exact stream I was watching the night before will refuse to work. What app were you using? Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted December 5, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) OK. All good now. The Beast was not really working for TV shows and movies. Theblackbox works much better. Â EDIT: I was using Genisis. But it works fine with blackbox. Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted December 6, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) Genesis is great for going through an actor or director's filmography. Really great for that. I did it a few months ago to go through Richard Pryor's stuff. Edited December 6, 2015 by bAzTNM#
