Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted June 4, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 4, 2016 I'd have thought ippv only costs Internet connection. An Internet connection with lots of bandwidth if you want to stream to more than one viewer.
cleslie92
I'd have thought ippv only costs Internet connection. Cameras and audio equipment with the ability to connect to a live mixer, a live mixer, a director to edit the show live...
Guest
New cameras amd audio equipment were bought a month or so back after the italian tv deal started. Given how shows are added to on demand the next day, id not expect a lot of cuts away from main show to backstage etc. the camera crew they use at present work on mainstream tv shows. So basic direction needed, and they upload to Fites sites, who then transfer to the world. Doesnt sound like a massive outlay to me. Given the part ownership by Triple G music who look after production, a lot of kit should be easy to get a hold of.
PBWFan
Yeah but the equipment still costs money  The assumption that costs associated with running an IPPV are simply "Internet connection" is hilarious.
Guest
It is if you already have the equipment, or if it's being provided for you by the company putting your show online. Given their success up to now, and being sound with business model, I doubt they are doing it if any belief they won't make something from it. The Dart
If people are willing to pay £25 to watch an indy IPPV live then ICW should charge it.  I can't believe anyone would pay that kind of money, but they obviously will.
Jon-Carr_92
I wonder if they end up doing it with Fear & Loathing this year? I guess they might test the waters with this
AnotherCrapUsername
It was announced at the same time that Fear and Loathing would also be on iPPV.
seanz25
Also worth adding servers to host there live streams and allow more than 1 person to watch can cost thousands per month.

Not really adding when I mentioned that above
simonworden
Keep the price high I say, if you start charging 10 quid now then later on your audience will kick up more of a shitter if it gets pricier. See how you do at a high number then it can be lowered at a later date.
Guest
Servers Would be at fite tv end as the ppv provider, so don't see that as any icw expense.

See how you do at a high number then it can be lowered at a later date.  Problem is that the standard for an indy show has been established at £10-15 max. Have to feel at this price it will put off the casual fans or fans who might check out ICW for the first time.
