Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted February 13, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2015 I'll start... £5 became a tiny amount of money. You mostly have to cook your own dinner. Stuff you could get away with as a kid is now considered a crime (knock down ginger = causing alarm, harassment or distress.)
Undefeated Steak
The concept of time. Remember how much you could do over a weekend? Or those summer holidays that lasted forever. Too often I'll cast my mind back to what seems like a few months ago and realise what I'm thinking of took place over a year ago. Discovering new passions is another. I used to fall in love with something new every month until I was about 15. As far as hobbies go, I can't remember the last time I discovered something new that I really, really liked. Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted February 13, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2015 Having money — I either had heaps of disposable money once I started working nights and weekends, or it just seemed like it. I'm currently pondering busting the budget with a can of pop and some crisps, so the £30 I used to blow each Friday on getting boozed up down town seems like a fortune. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 13, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 13, 2015 Work. Work is always the answer to this question, and I don't even hate my job or anything.
Undefeated Steak
Work's a funny one. I guess it depends on what you do. It's not really much different to school as a child, most children hate school.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted February 13, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2015 Yet I would do anything to go back to that simpler time.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted February 13, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2015 School was bollocks, but then sixth form was the bollocks. Pool table, ghetto blaster, table football, getting served down the Wheatsheaf, and I was tan, skinny, and good at football.
Krytie 2X4B 523P
As a kid I could name a starting XI for every club in the top 2-3 leagues, a good chunk of players from the lower leagues and most top European sides. Now Id struggle to name a starting XI for each Premiership team.

Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted February 13, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2015 I sometimes think about how it would be nice to be a kid again then I remember kids have to do homework and it ruins the fantasy for me. Also sex is fun and kids don't get to have sex unless their childhood is particularly grim.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted February 13, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2015 I never did homework and I only masturbate slightly less these days than I did when I was a kid. Being a kid was better.
King Coconut
Being a grown up is amazing. There were good things about being a kid but I wouldn't trade any of them for my big-boy's wage, entry into pubs/clubs, driving licence, the touch of a sweet lady, my own place, deciding when I go to bed, etc.
