dopper Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) Five of these eight nominees have been on the shortlist for the past three years (maybe more, I only checked as far back as the 2011 awards). John Matrix is on the shortlist for the first time. Edited January 12, 2014 by dopper
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted January 12, 2014 Awards Moderator Posted January 12, 2014 A vote for the newcomer to the ballot, John Matrix! Lots of worthy winners here too - Astro, Nostalgia and Keith are all really funny, Chest and Devon make some great contributions... I would probably have gone for Duke if he'd been on the list, though.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted January 12, 2014 Paid Members Posted January 12, 2014 Yeah, a deserved nomination for Matrix, he's had a great year as has everyone on here. It's been another good year for off-topic, I think.

He's made me sit back and think on more than one occasion this year
Paid Members Nick James Posted January 13, 2014 Paid Members Posted January 13, 2014 Close one between Matrix and Frankie as both guys are fantastic, but, Matrix just took the vote.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 13, 2014 Moderators Posted January 13, 2014 I normally vote for Devon in this award but I thought I'd mix it up this year. My vote goes to Houch; he's had a good year.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted January 15, 2014 Paid Members Posted January 15, 2014 Astro stepped up his game massively this year.
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted January 16, 2014 Paid Members Posted January 16, 2014 I voted for Astro. This has been the first year I've even really been into the Fortean thread. His write-ups (and blogs on the subject) have been trememdous reading.
Max Power Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Very difficult to choose between some excellent posters. Devon for me.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted January 16, 2014 Paid Members Posted January 16, 2014 I refuse to hand over the crown to Astro until he admits Only God Forgives was a load of old wank.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted January 17, 2014 Paid Members Posted January 17, 2014 D-Mal all the way here, but I have to defend Only God Forgives because it has Gosling's bulging biceps in it. A fascinating, flawless specimen of a man to watch on a big screen.
Max Power Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Astro stepped up his game massively this year. How do you know, you've been here less than a year.

Max Power Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Really? Well there we are. He was a brilliant poster, so I retract my smart arsery.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted January 17, 2014 Paid Members Posted January 17, 2014 was Operative word.
