Paid Members JohnnyChimpo Posted February 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2013 The episode where the new milkman on the island, Pat Mustard, is going around shagging all the horny housewives and fathering all their babies. He is then ousted by Ted, loses his job and is replaced by Dougal. Mustard seeks his revenge by planting a bomb on the milk float, set to be armed if the float goes over 3mph and will blow up if the float comes back under 3mph. Â The scene where the 3 priests sit around discussing ideas to save Dougal, only to end up wanting to do another mass is hilarous. Pat Mustard is a great character too. As is his boss at milk company, I love it when he thinks Ted is trying to sell him some smutty porn instead of showing him evidence of Pat's indiscretions. Â EDIT: Oh fuck off Ian. You too Bifkin. The Cum Doctor
"Are You Right There, Father Ted?" is my favourite. So much brilliant stuff. Father Jack being in all of the small spaces, including the fantastic last one. The hamster riding a bicycle. The Nazi shrine and the constant misunderstandings. Â Superb. Paid Members John Matrix Posted February 5, 2013 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2013 Now Johnny see, that's the kind of thing i was hoping for. I've never seen Father Ted, it's never really appealed to me. I saw all the Pat Mustard talk in the sitcom thread, meant nothing to me. Â What you've described there sounds funny, so i'll have to check that out when i get the chance.

Paid Members JohnnyChimpo Posted February 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2013 If you're only new to it, some of the better received episodes are the ones with Graham Norton (he plays a priest who pops up every now and then) in them. He is fucking hilarious to be fair to him. The episode called 'The Mainland" involves them all having to head into mainland Ireland to do a few jobs. Get Father Jack's eyes tested for some new glasses, visit The Caves, and for Ted to collect on a bet. They run into Victor Meldrew quite often and he quickly becomes an arch enemy of Ted, despite Ted's best intentions. Jack ends up at an AA meeting, Mrs Doyle in prison, and Dougal fearing that he may literally die of hunger because he skipped breakfast. They end up lost in The Caves and run into Graham Norton who has been lost for a few days in the caves too. Can they find their way out in time to get Dougal some food? Â Or the time they head off to stay in a caravan and end up sharing it with Norton is genuinely hilarious. Its 20 minutes brimmed to the edges with laughs. Â Or the episode where the enter the Eurovision Song Contest. I'm sure you've heard; My Lovely Horse before?

Paid Members Nick James Posted February 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2013 It's difficult to pick the best episode and since the great Speed 3 has been discussed already, I'll opt for the All-Priests Over-75's Five-a-Side Football Championship. There are so many great moments in that episode from the 'He's sent the keeper the wrong way' to 'These are fake hands'. Brilliant. Â Pat Mustard is great, though. Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted February 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2013 I've always enjoyed the one featuring Chris the Sheep and the Beast of Craggy Island. Â "It has no mouth, but instead has four arses".
jimufctna24
Father Stone is a up there for me. Also, New Jack City with my favorite one shot character Father Stack. The ones with Norton are up there as already stated. Â It is hard though, Ted had a level of consistency that I do not think any other sitcom has ever had in terms of great episodes.
