Another big motorsport weekend. WEC had the 6 Hours of Spa yesterday which was a fantastic endurance race. Plenty of questions answered, even more questions posed ahead of the Le Mans test day and the main event itself next month. At the front, Audi look to be nowhere on out and out pace in the dry, with both their low and high downforce set-ups. Their cars were maxing out at 279kph on the Kemmel staight while Toyota and Porsche were hitting 300. If that remains the case, they'll get absolutely slaughtered on the Mulsanne straight and on the straight down to Indianapolis.

DTM providing the usual fun for a Sunday afternoon. Couple of changes in the rules. Paul di Resta continues to be a miserable sod. ;) European F3 had a few cracking races too.

Oh, and if you're looking for a Sunday night slice of motorsport, I recommend the TUSCC races from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca tonight. They'll be on Motors TV if you can pick that up on your TV, and if not, I believe IMSA are streaming the races on their website once again for the international audience. They've split the field in two races. Looks like they've finally got the BOP right for DP/P2 which is a joy to see, hopefully no more fiddling around with that.

I'm in Monaco this weekend and so far I have to say it's fantastic! I've not been here before so it's all new - there's so much to see and do. Went to see practice 1&2 today, sitting right opposite the pits and can see into most of the top teams' garages. The cars don't sound nearly as bad as everyone's going on about either.

Also went down near the motorhomes between sessions and met some of the drivers (Chilton, Maldonado, Grosjean, Magnussen) and got them to sign my programme that I'm going to auction for Great Ormond Street. Also saw Button, Perez, Hulkenberg, Alonso and Raikkonen but they were in the media scrum. Niki Lauda and Ron Dennis were milling about but didn't stop. And I also got autographs from Damon Hill, Crofty, Antony Davidson, Johnny Herbert, Graham Lowden & John Booth (Marussia), Eric Bouiller (McLaren) and, oh my, Martin Brundle - looking exceptionally hot.

Tomorrow I have a hospitality tour of the Caterham motorhome with paddock access so I'm hoping to get a few more signatures. As well as a pit walk and then lots of hanging around to see who else I can see :)

I bloody love a bit of Martin. He joked about not expecting the hailstones in between the sessions.

And yeah, it's great to be here but I think it might be one of the hardest F1 weekends I've been to. Usually I don't even bother going to the practice unless I want to look around the circuit so the weekend's just Sat and Sun. But here it's a 4-day weekend because of the Friday Bank Holiday. We'll be going into Monaco tomorrow to walk the circuit as well as do other stuff. I'm knackered already!

Brundle loves Monaco. He said on SKY this afternoon that it is his highlight of the year watching the cars from trackside.

Sure you will enjoy your weekend. F1 has been very good so far this year.

I'd recommend going to Rascasse for a drink during your walk and also Stars and Bars.

Was in Stars & Bars yesterday and today. Great place. Today consisted of a garage and paddock tour by Caterham, spotting more drivers milling around, seeing Eddie Jordan getting stuck in the paddock turnstiles, getting on board the Red Bull Energy Station and bumping into Vettel, walking the entire circuit, seeing Cafe de Paris and Casino Square, the hairpin and the tunnel, then seeing Eddie Jordan playing the spoons of his yacht and then meeting Mark Webber after spying him on his yacht.

Phew! Very long day. It's now 1.30am and we leave for the circuit again at 9am. Can't believe there's still two more days to go!

Hope you're enjoying Monaco, Monkee! Sounds like you've had an incredibly busy few days. Hopefully the on-track action meets the excitement and hype we've got after qualifying.

Monaco, Indy 500, Coca-Cola 600. Three magical races, all one after the other. Goodbye Sunday.

There's also Blancpain Endurance from Silverstone today which will provides tomorrow's Bank Holiday viewing on YouTube.

What a day to be a motorsport fan. ;)

The Indy 500 is/was today!? How did I miss that?

What channel was it shown on?

It was on BT Sports 2 in the UK. I couldn't tell you whether there'll be a repeat or not, though there tend to be a few channels on YouTube which put up the races a few days later. Cracking race with a lot of green flag running which is ideal. Exciting stuff.

F1 wasn't too bad either. I think Hamilton's starting to get paranoid. Rosberg might have just taken the upper hand in this championship battle on mindgames alone.

Hamilton will be fine as it is Canada next where he thrives. So far Lewis is giving Nico a bit of a booting this year. It is 4-1 in 2 car finishes, and 4-2 in qualifying. Nico only tops the standings due to Lewis's DNF at Australia. If Lewis wins in Canada he will be back on top.

I think Nico was innocent on Saturday, but I also think Lewis would have taken pole if the the yellow flags were not out.

I don't doubt that he'll be fine in Canada and he'll no doubt win. I honestly think Lewis has been caught out by Nico's competitiveness and determination this season. Nico most likely realises this is his best chance to be a world champion and he needs to take the opportunity while it's there.

There's that story about Lewis having used some fuel setting he "wasn't meant to use" in Spain to keep Rosberg behind him, so we've already seen the mind games at play here. It'll continue through the season. It's just little things though...Hamilton seems to think he's got the whole world conspiring against him what with Nico's pole position after the incident on Saturday, his complaining on the radio about having not pitted before the safety car.

I like "there's something in my eye" though, that's a new addition to the book of driver excuses. ;)

The person who is most likely to beat Hamilton and deny him the world title is Hamilton. It just so happens that his team mate will be right there to pick up the pieces.

I have heard Nico did something similar in Bahrain. I just think the car this year suits Lewis more, and his talent will be too much. Last year they were evenly matched, 8-8 in 2 car finishes. But so far this year it is 4-1 to Lewis. Spain last year Nico dominated Lewis, yet Lewis was able to beat Nico in both qualifying and race trim this year (just about). Nico has been cracking under the pressure this year. He made costly mistakes in qualifying in both China and OZ. If the yellow flags did not come out on Saturday, it is probable Lewis would have snatched pole (although fair play to Nico for setting the faster banker lap)

I get what you mean, but Lewis has always had a aggressive tone over the radio. Brawn and company found it hilarious last year, and put it down as one of Lewis's quirks.

It is all very interesting though.
