Minor news items that don't deserve a thread

Little tidbit from a guy who usually knows what he's talking about, Double A:

Anderson, who now works as an agent for WWE, said he thinks today's WWE schedule is tougher than during his era because of the regular international travel and in-between-shows promotional work. "When you sit down and look at that on a calendar, it’s pretty intense. What they call off days now are travel days and trying to get home as much as you can. The schedule they have now is actually harder than we had," he said.

Interesting find there, Low Ki. It really is surprising that more of the wrestlers aren't injured on a more regular basis, regardless of how safe people say their in-ring style is these days. I know you've got the likes of Mysterio and Undertaker etc who seem to have recurring problems, but when you look at how long they've been in the business and how many surgeries they've put back, it's hardly surprising.

The psychological and mental toll that they must be racking up on themselves must be rather worrying, especially when you like at guys like The Miz who was on talk-shows and the like constantly as champion whenever he wasn't performing (and quite often on the same days as he was), only for him to have fallen back into the shuffle as soon as he dropped the belt.

John Cena has to be one of the most hard-working and traveled men of any profession over the past decade.

Numerous sources within WWE say Kelly Kelly has been granted "time off" by organization officials. She has been on the road full time since her 2006 debut and requested the break to recharge her batteries.

"She's been here since she was a kid," said a company source. "She had been pushing for time away to spend with her family and her boyfriend. Six years for someone of her age is a lifetime. She needed a break."

Many of her colleagues don't believe Kelly's returning anytime soon, if at all, since she has begun promoting her alternative stage name (Barbie Blank) and is currently accepting requests for appearances and endorsements outside of WWE. She added the following information to her Twitter account over the weekend: "Barbie Blank/Kelly Kelly, WWE Diva, MAXIM Cover Girl and 100 Hottest Women. For full appearances/endorsements please contact Heidi at heidi@atamanagement.com."

Kelly last competed on television on the May 21 Raw SuperShow, losing to Beth Phoenix. She last wrestled on May 26 in Quito, Ecuador.

Anyway, speaking of the big news Blackson was talking about earlier, a few TNA personalities like Karen Jarrett are tweeting and replying to each other with words like "Oh shit" and "shits about to get real" and weird stuff like that. I wonder if that has anything to do with anything. Dixie supposedly has a major announcement lined up soon. Maybe we will get some news on it today.

What were the TNA lot on about?

Karen Jarrett was likely referring to this. Via Karen's Twitter:

Hey Todd, no one can stand you sister Dixie! She continues to run the company in the ground!!! What are you gonna do???

Dixie, have some guts and call me out.......

Everyone has dirty laundry. I'm thinking it's about time for Dixie Carter to be exposed!!!

Well for TNA's 10 anniversary what can we give Dixie??? Since she doesn't read emails or respond let's get her attention on twitter!;)

No everyone I won't be on IMPACT WRESTLING... #shoot

The official website of Florida Championship Wrestling has removed Eli Cottonwood from their roster page, which would indicate that he has been released from his developmental contract with WWE.

Cottonwood appeared as a contestant on the second season of NXT, with John Morrison as his mentor. He was the second contestant to be eliminated from the program, following Titus O'Neil. He returned to Florida Championship Wrestling, where he largely appeared in a bodyguard role.

Hopefully that's true, that guy was the drizzling shits. Least intimidating-looking 'giant' ever.

Courtesy of Jim Ross's blog re: Thursday's final FCW taping....

"Lots of kids stood out. Rollins, Steamboat, Cesaro, Ohno, Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt, Brad Maddox, Ascension, Big E Langston, Jason Jordan, Paige, and several others."

"Loved the @thedeanambrose vs @realkingregal bout that had a shockingly, real, physical conclusion. That match was on hour three and will likely air in July but I'm not sure of any of the air dates. When FCW's TV show runs its course on the Brighthouse Network in Florida, FCW will be replaced by NXT. I'm unaware if the rebranded NXT will air on WWE.com ( doubtful) but will air outside the USA where NXT is currently airing.

Nice to see the UK's Paige get a mention and to see that NXT in its new format might be airing on our TV.
