The craic is Masked Republic have the rights to release goods/Merch using the name and likeness of particular characters. Itās pretty much exactly the same way Figures Toy Company doĀ business, agree a contract with a random wrestler not under contract and release merch.Ā They cover everything from clothing, board games and events, but only for Lucha themed wrestlers.Ā Proper figures are a new thing for them and they subcontracted Boss FightĀ Studio to make the figures.Ā Speaking of which, hereās some concept art for some new lines they have in the works. Some donāt do it for me at all, some scans are really good. We had the teamĀ on the pod show a while backĀ and they explained the whole reason why they use the molds that JAKKS used for their RA line.Ā I think they should seriously think about following the trend though. As discussed on here yesterday, kids & collectors want the mattel style line. High articulation, in scale and so they can play or display with the mattel line.
