Yeah, definitely. There are some outright geniuses working in porn, and there always have been. It will always make a lot of money. Whenever a new technology comes along, porn is always at the forefront of uptaking it. Whenever something comes along, like torrenting and tube sites, that people predict will finish porn, they take them and use them to their advantage. Almost anyone can make money in porn if they are prepared to put in the time and effort and investment. Quote

All over Europe for ages you have been able to buy hardcore porn subscriptions on satellite and cable - over here, you get the softcore shit that Television X fobs idiots off with. Even in that realm, though, hardcore porn makers would do soft cuts of their films and sometimes dip into 'erotic thrillers' to try and get some 'mainstream' exposure. That said, they always made far more money through VHS and then DVD. Quote

On average, those subscribers are paying $30 a month, so that's over $2 million a month just from their main website subscribers. Then factor in the advertising they sell, the DVD sales and other sundries, and they're rolling in it. Who pays for it? From what I hear, many subscribers these days come from Asia. India's a massive boom industry for it over there. You are going to see a lot more sites using desi babes in the near future although I'm surprised there are not more Priya Rais appearing right now. This is all just the tip of the iceberg, of course, but it gives you a basic idea of what can be done. Quote

Advertising I can understand, but I can't fathom people buying subscriptions or DVDs anymore when free porn is so readily available. I'm assuming that there has been some research into it, and you're the man to ask, so what keeps people forking out cash for their wanks? I wonder the same thing about how wrestling shoot interview DVDs are profitable. Everyone who has any interest in watching an old wrestler talk for two hours posts on forums where links to watch the interviews free are handed around. Quote
