A lot of our hardcore porn is still rather "Ooh matron!" and slightly more comedic and as such not quite as serious. The girls generally look like they're enjoying it more because much of the time they are. They also don't get paid nearly as much as their American and even eastern European counterparts so they have to enjoy it to a certain extent to get by. Things are changing, though, like I say. The stuff that Angel Long's been involved in and the type of thing that Killergram and to a greater extent Bluebird is a lot more Americanised and before long you will hardly tell the difference regarding where it was made. He's actually a good man to ask about this subject, though, because he's done the more recent Americanised stuff and the more 'dirty postcard' funnier stuff. I think it's good in some ways that we have a company or two that has a budget and is prepared to use it. We will always have that gonzo comedy style to so much of our porn no matter how well Bluebird and Killergram do because, let's face it, a lot of girls who do the Ben Dover stuff aren't going to be getting a Bluebird job, so there will always be a space for it, and a market for it as well.
