The Natural
According to Anthony Pettis' manager he is considering a drop to 145 to fight Jose Aldo  Like to see that.  I would love it if Rampage comes out to a chorus of boos and Shogun to unanimous cheers. Then Shogun to completely obliterate Rampage and proceeds to walk out with his tail between his legs.  My ideal scenario. Once again, fuck Rampage. Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted March 14, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 14, 2012 no a date specified, but I wouldnt be suprised if it ends up on the Brazil card. that card will be fucking stacked if it does nd up there. Silva vs. Sonnen Wanderlei vs. Belfort Rampage vs. Rua  I'd love it if they did but I can't see it. It would be wasting a PPV pay day. That card will sell regardless with Chael/Silva II. TildeGuy~!
Matt Mitrione said on the MMA Hour on Monday that he had agreed on his next fight but wasn't able to spill the beans on who his opponent would be...Any guesses?
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted March 14, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 14, 2012 I'm torn on the whole Rampage situation. He's certainly doing himself no favours & personally I think he's a bit of a dick, but we've no idea how he's been treated by the UFC with regards to bonuses in relation to PPV buys, pressure from the UFC to fight regarding injuries, how his deals compare to other fighters etc. We know the UFC can be absolutely ruthless with their contracted fighters (remember the uproar over likeness rights when the first UFC game came out?) & Rampage being in The A Team helped the UFC as much as it helped Jackson so it wasn't a 'favour' to him by any stretch of the imagination. Â Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Paid Members Jaffa Posted March 14, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 14, 2012 Not sure if this has been posted on here yet but had to share it, it's one of the sickest injuries I've ever seen. It happened at Cagequest 1 in a fight between Fowler vs Jones jr, not for the faint hearted That was last weeks news. A bit like missing cats. Paid Members Egg Shen Posted March 14, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 14, 2012 was it ever made clear why the Japanese card was 7 fights? Â That card is f'n immense though, the undercard seems particuarly loaded because they've kept the big guys up top. I can't see the heavyweights not delivering though, good matchups. Pier Six Brawler
The main card in Japan was 7 fights so they could start the prelims at a reasonable hour over there.
