The British Bushwacker
popped into Ladbrokes and put a little on Andy Hamilton to win( thats probably the kiss of death for him), but i've got a strange feeling
bry2j
Watching that qualifying match was like me and my mate trying to play in the pub and neither of us having a clue where the darts were going to end up Edited December 20, 2008 by bry2j
Dai
The Bull, Terry Jenkins is out. A shocker considering he was in the Grand Slam final a few weeks back. Â Â Taylor and Van Gerwin tonight. Van Gerwin game should be the highlight, and Im hoping he pulls out some decent form.
The Cum Doctor
Alex Roy did an Orton pose before his match, which made me smile. Â Phil Taylor had it easy, and Van Gerwen looked REALLY good tonight as well. I'm looking forward to their outing in the next round. Â I also liked the third prelim match. Stylin_and_Profilin
Always think it's too hard to call in the first round on the best of five sets layout as a lot of the guys struggle to get going in the shorter format. Not surprised at all that Part went out he's been pretty horrible since he won last year whenever i've seen him. Watched a few of the games so far but not all of them. Young McDine looked quite impressive last night - did he win?
cheetah69uk
yes he won 3-
Dai
I didnt think Van Gerwin looked "really" good at all. In fact he was very average. He would hit the occasional hot patch, but then quickly start to throw rags. An 83 average shows that. He throws like that against Taylor and hes out in straight sets. Hopefully hes a little bit more used to the stage now, and can up his game big time when he plays Taylor.

Paid Members Murtz Posted December 22, 2008 Paid Members Share Posted December 22, 2008 Barney was pretty good today.. and the guy he was playing wasnt bad either! Even though it was 3-0.. the other guy was hitting some big scores. Â Some big names have already gone out... Manley, Jenkins, Part, Scholten.. and I think Lloyd will join them tomorrow. bobby dazzler
I was at Ally Pally on Saturday for the early afternoon sesh. Absolutely cracking day out. Plenty of beers flowing and a great atmosphere. Ended up in Upper Street (Islington) afterwards for some reason..felt shocking Sunday but what a great day! Dai
Manley out, which is a shame as I like him. He played shit though, so he can have no excuses. Speaking of shit, Colin Lloyd was terrible. Klassen played the best Ive seen him for yonks, but Lloyd made it so easy for him. Adrian Lewis was back to his fustrating self. Hitting 180s for fun, but in some legs just throwing 60s all the time. So inconsistent its untrue.
The Cum Doctor
The next round, in order of the brackets, is ...  Phil Taylor vs. Michael Van Gerwen Carlos Rodriguez vs. Kevin Painter Wayne Mardle vs. Rober Thornton Alan Tabern vs. Co Stompe Dennis Smith vs. Kevin McDine Mervyn King vs. Mark Walsh Bill Davis vs. Barrie Bates Mensur Suljovic vs. Mark Dudbridge Raymond Van Barneveld vs. Wes Newton Ronnie Baxter vs. Denis Ovens Andy Hamilton vs. Tony Ayres Jelle Klaasen vs. Jan Van Der Rassel Adrian Lewis vs. Paul Nicholson Dennis Priestley vs. John MaGowan James Wade vs. Tony Eccles Colin Osbourne vs. Vincent Van Der Voort  There's some right belting looking ties there. I'm really looking forward to Walsh/King, Nicholson/Lewis and Tabern/Stompe.
