I would agree with Group C and H. Looking forward to this. Has the BDO a clashing competition to rival the GSOD or whatever they are naming this Champions tourny.

No Scott Waites??????

Yup. Robert Thornton was the only guy who put up something resembling a fight against him.

Aye, Thornton averaged around 103 in his semi against Taylor, whilst the Power averaged 113! Had he checked out his 130+ outshot in his final leg then he would have broken the highest recorded 3 dart average in tournament play (which was 114. something).

I am looking forward to the Grand Slam and hope some of the BDO boys put up a better showing than last year, when only Nixon seemed to play well, and even he didn't get out of the group stages, and Webster only played well in his third group match after he was already eliminated. I haven't seen much BDO Darts this year, but if De Ruiter is as bad here as he was during the Worlds he could get annihilated.

I also wish that Adams would play in this (at least for one year). Yes we know he is BDO through and through, but I can't understand why he doesn't want to prove himself against the best players in the world, hell, if he wins it is then even more kudos for his BDO.

The first set of matches have been confirmed for next Saturday.

Afternoon Session ( 12pm - 5pm )

Adrian Lewis vs. Denis Ovens*

Andy Hamilton vs. Brian Woods

Robert Thornton vs. Gary Mawson*

John Part vs. Anastacia Dobromyslova*

Phil Taylor vs. Phil Nixon*

Mark Webster vs. Colin McGarry

Kevin Painter vs. Daryl Fitton*

Terry Jenkins vs. Darin Young

Evening Session ( 6pm - 11pm )

Vincent Van Der Voort vs. Andy Jenkins*

Wayne Mardle vs. Kevin McDine*

James Wade vs. Niels de Ruiter

Gary Anderson vs. Phil Nicholson

Raymond Van Barneveld vs. Kirk Shepherd*

Alan Tabern vs. Simon Whitlock*

Mervyn King vs. Michael Van Gerwen*

Colin Lloyd vs. Wes Newton

The ones with a * are the ones that I'm looking forward to the most. The battle of the women's and the PDC world titles is definately the one that intrigues me the most. I reckon Thornton is a better player than Part this season and Anastacia gave him a good run so I don't see why she can't get a win over the current PDC World Champ.

The next day, the afternoon session has the losers from each group playing each other in the afternoon and the winners in the evening. I'm sure you can figure out the rest.

Afternoon Session ( 12pm - 5pm )

Adrian Lewis vs. Denis Ovens*

We met Denis Ovens at the Matchplay in Blackpool last year and he was a really nice guy, had a chat with us and signed our programmes. Also met Eric Bristow, sadly the man who was the greatest player in the 80s was nothing sort of a rude cunt to us.

Fitton vs Painter is one I'm looking forward to especially, Fitton is probably my favourite player of the past few seasons despite Anastacia and Webster playing county darts for my county (Clwyd) and superleague in the area. Darryl Fitton's look of the 50 year old in a silk shirt with a print of a tiger on it with a very fit 22 year old girlfriend in a nightclub makes him a man after my heart.

Hopefully that fucking turncoat wanker King gets a fucking twatting.

I'm like Wolfie. BDO through and through.
