The 24-year-old, the current Women's World Champion, will become only the second female to compete in the PDC World Championship, succeeding Gayl King, who lost 3-1 to Graeme Stoddart in the 2001 event.

"We're delighted that Anastasia has chosen to compete on the Professional Darts Corporation circuit," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.

"Her ambition is to compete amongst the best players in darts for the greatest prize money and she has already proven in the UK Open and Grand Slam of Darts this year that she can do just that.

That was funny! He'll get smashed by Priestley tomorrow.

Kevin Painter vs Matt Clark has my two most hated players in it, throw in Alex Roy and they could blow up the stage and I wouldn't give a flying fuck.

Sid is getting on my nerves already with his shit, does he have something wrong with him?

I love Painter. A big grumpy bugger. That match should actually be one of the better matches of the round.

He was actually singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" earlier. He annoys the hell out of me.

EDIT : That crowd were behind him 100% there, and he was pretty good. I'd keep an eye on this guy.

To be fair, I have now seen it all. No, not Joh Part being whitewashed but quite frankly the worst match in the history of pro-Darts, French v Nagakawa.

I know they are trying to build Darts up around the world but my goodness it was soooooooo shit, sky took an advert half way through, and then later pulled out of the match to show some videos already seen earlier. There was no place for that on the "World Championship" stage. Do it in the practice room away from the crowd and the cameras, or even put it on before the Sky televised stuff starts (kind of like a dark match) but my goodness they did not deserve to be there.

And despite some slow clapping and ironic cheers from the crowd, they were surprisingly respectful of that garbage.

But Part v Davis and the rest of the stuff has been pretty good.

Well said. If you have to cut away from a match because it was so bad, then there's a good chance it shouldn't have been there in the first place. Priestley is going to have a field day with French in the First Round.

The first match wasn't great, but Rodriguez was allowing Scholten too many chances to get into the match which made it interesting viewing. Rodriguez did eventually begin to pick things up towards the end of the match though.

Robert Thornton looked excellent, but his doubles at times left a lot to be desired.

Take a bow Bill Davis. John Part didn't play badly against him, but what Davis was as steady as anyone that will step on that stage in the early rounds of the tournament.

Co Stompe has shown some incredible improvement from the Co I can remember that made the jump from the BDO.
