How does that work? I think it's often like that though... the highest profile stuff is what has the highest expectations so when it falls short people are more upset. Case in point - Wrestlemania always gets nominations for both best and worst event of the year, despite (in previous years) it ultimately doing very well if not winning the best event category, and usually it's a Wrestlemania match that ends up winning MOTY. Like, for worst wrestler - who do you vote for? Someone who is turd and recognised as such and so is never on TV, or someone you think is utter shit but is getting pushed so he's in your face all the time? -------------------- |

How does that work? I think they built up so much anticipation for that Title match (and in the process got a lot of people behind Punk) then the booking straight after seriously let it all down. The fact that he got about 70% of the votes (finishing in 1st and 2nd) in the Best Individual Performance poll and also finished in the top two places in the Best Moment poll shows how much people got into the character and the storyline at the time, but were then deflated when he came straight back just over a week later. -------------------- |
