Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted March 6, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 6, 2013 I'm going to see Welcome To The Punch tonight. Really looking forward to it as I find both McAvoy and Riseborough to be captivating.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 6, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 6, 2013 That caught my eye in Empire this month, actually, I've got that on my watchlist. McAvoy is an excellent actor.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted March 6, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 6, 2013 It's being compared to early Woo and is supposed to be hole clenchingly tense, so I'm itching to get to the flicks tonight, sir.

Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted March 15, 2013 Awards Moderator Share Posted March 15, 2013 For those that remember it from Astro Hollywood's Best Films Of 2012 list, Bernie with Jack Black is getting a UK release on 26th April. Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 16, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 16, 2013 This trailer for The Conjuring is one of the best horror trailers in a long time. Â Looks good, but I don't think I can stomach a whole film with that awful shit bastard Patrick Wilson starring in it.
Paid Members Bettencourt Posted March 16, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 16, 2013 I remember the ITV edit of Robocop. Two particular bits spring to mind - when Bob Morton looks into the camera (Robocop's vision) and says "You're gonna be one bad mother-crusher!" and when Robocop intervenes at a liquor store robbery, with the robber yelling "Why me! Why me!" or (in another version) "Fly me! Fly me!" Â OMG! I wasn't crazy! Having taped Robocop off the TV and having watched it for years. I was surprised when on DVD the robber was shouting "FUCK ME!" As I always thought it was "Why Me?" I thought I was me going loopy.
mikey
Saw a movie a couple of weeks ago and in retrospect I've little idea why I sat through it. It starred Chris Pratt and Brendan Hines, more known for being on Lie To Me, and it involved them being sucked into an alternate reality where the whole world is like a campy, early 80's porn flick. On Lovefilm it is called something like American Hot Babes but its original title is Deep in the Valley. Even if you're curious, avoid avoid avoid. Paid Members John Matrix Posted March 18, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) I used to buy a comic in my early teens, cant for the life of me remember what it was - i think it may have been a Punisher comic, nothing elitist, just used to buy it from the local newsagent and inside they had a Robocop comic strip which used some of the TV edits to get around language issues. Â Anyone else remember that? or know where i could find some of that artwork? Â Edit: Found it. Fuck me, 1989. I was 8 Â Edited March 18, 2013 by John Matrix
Paid Members PunkStep Posted March 19, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 19, 2013 Fucking hell, Stolen looks bloody awful doesn't it? Good idea for a film though. I think Neeson will be good in that role. Â Steve Big Jobs will naturally bum this film.

I think Neeson will be good in that role. Â Steve Big Jobs will naturally bum this film. Â I love Nicolas Cage and I'll definitely watch anything he's in, I wish he'd get more roles like Kick-Ass, Bad lieutenant or even Drive Angry though, his output has been worryingly straight to video looking for the last couple of years. Hopefully now he's nearly 50 he'll do more character roles and less middle aged dude with weird hair running around quasi action films. It doesn't look that bad though. Â I still think Season of the Witch is an unapreciated gem.

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 19, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted March 19, 2013 Hmm. Got to get Plissken right, though. Jared Leto, for some reason, appeals to me in that role.
