I'm with LaGoosh on the checking phones thing. Honestly I struggle if people watching a film at home are constantly checking for texts and missed calls, so in the cinema it drives me insane. It's extremely unlikely that during those two hours you'll receive a text or phonecall so earth-shatteringly important that it can't wait. If you're in a situation where you might, then don't go to the fucking cinema. If it's an emergency, they're unlikely to text. If it's a call that you absolutely have to take because this person would never call if it wasn't important, then sure, answer it and take it outside. Other than that extreme circumstance, put it on silent and leave it in your friggin pocket.

The worst part is when people have a phone that as soon as they touch a button the screen lights up like a fecking flood light. Pisses me off.On the whole my local cinema is fairly good. Its a bit pricy, but I go on bargain tuesdays which is

Also just seen the new Bond film. I loved it, though it didn't quite provoke the same quantities of emotion as Casino Royale did. Still a brilliant film with some great sequences and story-telling in it though.

I agree, I think that pretty much summed it up for me. It lacks the overall depth Casino Royale had, but was still a very entertaining film. It also feels like it leads more into something else. The only minor gripe I had with it was the first 20/25 minutes just seemed to be fast cut action sequences that did little to add to the film, sure they were fun, but often to quick to properly follow and not a touch on the free running scene from Casino Royale. One action scene I liked a lot though was the one in the opera, that was very arty for a Bond film. But yeah, I liked it and will see it again

i found the opening chase to be too choppy, the camera was all over the place, it was a little hard to follow, so many cuts in so little time. It was pretty cool though.

The best action setpiece for me was the plane one, loved that...bit of a throwback to what we'd see Bond do in the past.

My problem with the new Bond was that there was almost too much action. I thought it was getting tedious, and by the fourth big action thing, I was thinking "oh not again". Loved the wee touch to Goldfinger in the movie. It wasn't a bad movie, and I did enjoy it, but could have done with it being a bit more settled down.

Just watched that Batman & Robin on channel 5 and you know, call me satanic but apart from the blatant ridiculousness of it all, it really isn't that bad.

It's definitely one of those films where you need to leave your brain at the door to enjoy.

Also watched that Burn After Reading.

I still thought it was a good movie even after the Brad Pitt ***My bad if you read this before I changed it*** you don't see that type of thing in comic movies.

I guess that's the coens for you.

Wanted

Been on me to watch pile for a while now.

Equilibrium, Fight Club and the Matrix rolled into one. Wasnt expecting the greatest film in the world, got a solid actioner nice effects (for most of it) and a novel use of rats :p

Switch brain off and watch people get killed etc... not a massively different premise to Jumper.. Assassins..Space Shifters, its close lol.. but the parental gene in both of these families has a lot to answer for!

Watched A Tale Of Two Sisters again last night, absolutely brilliant film, probably the best J or K-Horror film that I've seen. Definitely rewards repeated viewing.

30 Days Of Nights was also superb but in a completely different way. Plus, I never thought I'd actually enjoy a Josh Hartnett acting performance.

Not good Steveo2007

Still, Ramm, LaGoosh might be an idea to remove the quote from your posts for when he realises his mistake.

Edit: I realise I'm taking a 'forum police' roll today. Been 'firefighting' forums all day so excuse me :D
