Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted July 30, 2009 Moderators Share Posted July 30, 2009 I know loads of people will hate this news but I enjoy his movies so i love this news rob zombie has signed to do halloween 3  Every single other movie news site this week disagrees with you and says he definitively stated he won't ever make H3. There's even video footage.

Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted July 30, 2009 Awards Moderator Share Posted July 30, 2009 Watched The 13th Warrior last night, and I have to wonder why it's received such a slating; I enjoyed it a great deal, and appreciated the efforts to cover up the plot holes without seeming patronising or simplistic. I also love how it's basically a humanistic take on the Beowulf saga; every possible supernatural element is explained away clearly as human behaviour or tactics. My only real disappointment is that Banderas makes almost no attempt to dispense with the Spanish accent when playing an Arab; I know it's difficult to even manage an English accent when acting in English and it's not your native language, but come on - just a tad lazy, I think. Â Is that the one that contains the hilarious scene where someone learns the entire Arabic (I think) language over the course of a fireside chat? DJ Stevie C
 The Day the Earth Stood Still  Actually 'fairly' enjoyable, amazing Klatuu took small things incredibly seriously and ignored the bg things, plus doing want to spoil it but the 'thing' that makes the save, kinda pathetic. But look past the gaping plot holes and it's fairly enjoyable. Keanu does a decent job being the emotionless Alien (who'd have thunk it?) but I thought Jayden Smith wasn't quite right for the role. It's okay if you can switch off your brain.
Paid Members FLips Posted July 30, 2009 Paid Members Share Posted July 30, 2009 It's one of my least favourite films of all time. Dull and pointless from start to finish.

Snitsky's back acne
Saw "Bronson" last night. Â Tom Hardy was out-fucking-standing in the role. Â Highly recommended.

It's Viking, and I was given to understand that it was meant to be a series of fireside chats, not just the one. Although, looking back on it now, I couldn't tell you why I got that impression. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted July 31, 2009 Paid Members Share Posted July 31, 2009 Watched Blade Runner: The Final Cut the other night.  Must say that the BRAND NEW SPECIAL EFFECTS!!!! didn't really make much of a difference for me but I enjoyed watching the film without the voiceover. Not that I found it especially annoying in the original, but I enjoyed the moments of silence where the Deckard monologues are missing as I thought that they helped add atmosphere to it. Have you listened to the commentary track yet? The new effects were done to make sure things like shadows and light patterns from flame bursts and other superimposed things match up as they would in real life. Ridley comes across as more than a little perfectionist/obsessive when explaining this.  Extra tits in the deleted scenes though. ~
