FTR2020 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I reckon we will get Ospreay vs MJF for Ospreay's title shot vs Kenny Omega at All In. I think Omega vs Moxley maybe as well. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted July 13 Paid Members Posted July 13 It would be a short turnaround to get there, but I hope they do Ospreay vs. Moxley here. Get the Death Riders bollocks out of that storyline ahead of All In, so they can just do a straightforward babyface vs babyface match, with the story being about Will trying to win the World Title in his home country, not about whether he's got Jon Moxley's killer instinct or some bollocks. Merzbow Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Someone better lamp another wrestler with a fist full of quarters, really show some love for the Rougeaus. Quote

This just isn't going to happen unfortunatly. Half expecting them to be tag champions going into All In at this rate, if it was WWE I would definitely expect it! Paid Members BomberPat Posted July 14 Paid Members Posted July 14 I've been trying to think of any way they could make the Ospreay/Death Riders thing actually work. Part of me thinks that the Death Riders try to do the plastic bag gimmick to Kenny after the World Title match, and Will stops them because he's not prepared to go that far. But that makes Will look like an idiot for trusting them in the first place. So maybe it's that the Death Riders try to make Will do the plastic bag thing and he has a crisis of confidence and stands up to them, or the Bucks and Hangman come out and talk him out of it, leading to Death Riders vs. Ospreay + The Elite, but that still makes Ospreay look like an idiot for going along with the Death Riders only to be shocked that they would do what the Death Riders do. The only way I can kind of make it make sense in my head is if the end goal is an Ospreay heel turn at All In, which would at least be interesting. I just don't see any version of Ospreay's route to All In that was better served by him joining the Death Riders than feuding with them, and I'm still holding out hope that the whole thing gets Debra'd. DavidB6937 Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Hopefully Ospreay does another little dance with the Death Riders, trips over something again, and this time hits his head and forgets who they are. I'd quite like to do the same tbh. Quote
The King of Old School Posted July 14 Posted July 14 I don't see Ospreay turning heel at All In, I think they want the big Wembley feel good moment, crowd going crazy, pyro the works. I could definitely see it on the Dynamite afterwards though, he becomes the new leader kicking Moxley out. First World Title feud set, obviously the history is there, after that Mox can go onto matches with the rest of them, where hopefully the end game is reuniting with Kingston to take them on. Quote
abucalves Posted July 14 Posted July 14 I may have said this before, but the fact that Eddie hasn't interacted with the Death Riders at all is a travesty. I know most of it was while he was injured, but since he has been back there should have been something, considering his history with several members. But I agree, they need to bin off this Ospreay Death Riders stuff, and if it's by Redemption, giving 4 weeks of build up with Kenny, that would be great. Quote

Love the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, The Mountie, The Quebecers, even The Amazing French Canadians. And always had a soft spot for our Raymond, the housewives favourite, and intrigued by the mystery 3rd brother Armand who never made it. Does Buy In mean this is available for free on YouTube? Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted July 14 Paid Members Posted July 14 Yeah Ospreay turning at Wembley would be an absolutely bonkers idea. No way can I see that happening. Quote

There must be something going on as far as Kingston is concerned. Maybe he simply doesn’t wrestle the ‘style’ Tony Khan likes, but given how prominent he once was that would be a strange shift in opinion. I’m really enjoying AEW at the moment, but I can’t see how it wouldn’t benefit from having Kingston in a more featured role. 10 minutes ago, mim731 said: Yeah Ospreay turning at Wembley would be an absolutely bonkers idea. Whatever the case, I can’t imagine there’s not a plan in place for this storyline. Quote

Paid Members tiger_rick Posted July 14 Paid Members Posted July 14 (edited) Doesn't the whole Death Riders angle set up Moxley as Ospreay's first challenger. The follow-up to quite a few of their big changing of the guard title wins has been disappointing so the way I've read this is as simple as setting up Moxley to challenge Ospreay first. Either do a big turn on him or have a respectful title match, then a big angle and a bloodbath. With Ospreay winning both. Then on to MFJ. Writes itself, surely. Edited July 14 by tiger_rick Quote

RE: Eddie, I think his time has just passed now unfortunately. He's nowhere near his best in the ring and doesn't seem the sort that would be happy just having a manager style role. Quote
