Johnnyreggae Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Could there ever be a possibility of Wrestling using AI for wrestling matches instead of real wrestlers. WWE’s contracts give them rights over characters, likenesses, and performances meaning the company could potentially argue they’re just using a wrestlers character and not the actual wrestler themselves. Paid Members Supremo Posted June 13 Paid Members Posted June 13 We saw it with Cody vs. Cena at Wrestlemania. It was rubbish. Affirmative. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted June 13 Paid Members Posted June 13 I’m not sure if he ever actually said, “AI,” but I recall Bret Hart once saying he’d love to use some form of technology to create the the match with Rey Mysterio that he never had. Shout out to Bischoff for never booking them together when he had the chance. Whopper. Bret suggested an idea where he and Rey could brainstorm and feed the match they would have had into a computer, so people could see it. Trust Bret to come up with the only idea where I’d almost support the artistic use of AI. Man is simply born to be right about everything. However, my general feelings towards AI are such that I’d still probably just prefer to listen to Bret and Rey put together the match in theory, than actually see it play out digitally. Maybe the, “AI” label is what’s putting me off. Maybe just describe it as two geniuses putting a match together via computer graphics. Bret should give her a call. Quote

That actually wouldn't bother me, it would be more a CGI way of showing a match that we didn't get the opportunity to see than AI as the two wrestlers would be booking what they would do next and each spot. Would never happen though sadly. Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted June 15 Paid Members Posted June 15 (edited) Just get the CPU to simulate it in the latest WWE 2k game? Edit: I've simulated some crackers in Fire Pro on GBA. Pick the style of match you want to watch and it'll do the job for you. I'm sure it can be done in the later ones as well. Edited June 15 by Jazzy G Quote
simonworden Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I liked the idea at the start of having something random like Bret Hart and Rey Mysterio put together an AI match of them in their 1996 primes but then I realized I would much rather listen to them chat about it than actually see any kind of computer simulation. BarryOVega Posted June 16 Posted June 16 If the AI is self aware enough to book I have no mouth and I must scream(ing Norman Smiley) then I’m in, if it’s just for interminable Bloodline storylines and me to make a terrible joke/sort of pun then I’m against it Quote
DavidB6937 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Not sure if I find the AI use or the massive text more upsetting. Quote
