The amount of bonkers, nonsense, “theory,” videos that have polluted my timeline the past few days, I’m convinced you could make a successful TV show in 2026 by just filling the background of every shot with arbitrary numbers or letters that maniacs can perceive as, “clues.”

My favourite one was Twin Peaks season 3. Some of them almost managed to turn the corner from "there are hidden clues for me to decypher the puzzle" to "Lynch expresses himself through some use of artistic metaphor" but most of them just got stuck on the idea that if you play one episode backwards next to another episode with the correct time adjustment you might win the treasure hunt.

Yes any artistic medium including  television and film may convey meaning through elements other than explicit dialogue and actions. There was an incredible blog about the costume choices in Mad Men that went into how certain colours seemed to be used to indicate where characters were mentally or stuff like stripes on costumes seemed to be used when a character felt trapped (behind bars) and stuff like that. I guess you can draw some link between Joyce's puzzles in Ulysees and what people want in True Detective/Strange Things/Reddit's latest puzzle. However it's generally always been used convey small ideas, links or accentuate the overall message. Rarely are these small moments designed to be some sort of real story escape room

We don't count the Mulholland Dr. 10 clues, they were made under duress*

It’s also amazing how many of these whack jobs pay for Twitter so they can post full essays about why orange is a clue and Karen Wheelers haircut.

Although, of all the batshit theories and interpretations/observations of various aspects of the finale that I’ve read, there’s one that seems to make sense ; when Wills “body” was discovered in S1 they played Heroes, and Will wasn’t really dead. When Hopper “died” at the end of S3 but wasn’t really dead, they played it again. At the end of the finale they played it again - a hint for the attentive that Eleven isn’t really dead?

…. Or Henry isn’t.

Streets are saying the documentary they released on the making of Season 5 is an incredible open goal. Openly admitting they started filming Season 5 without finishing the scripts, screenshots fans have managed to grab of the writer’s laptops with ChatGPT tabs open.

Quite funny now is when they decided it was best to collaborate with WWE.

Best theory I’ve see is that one of the Duffer Brothers was married to a screenwriter, who many believe was ghost writing the whole thing, but then they divorced between Season 4 and Season 5. He obviously didn’t get the scripts in the divorce.

They're having an absolute laugh with that price tag.

That is for the ‘ultra mega deluxe collectors  comes with a load of extra tat’ edition.
Regular edition BluRay is £135 (£145 for 4K) for a 25 Disc set.

I was just pretty stoked that Arrow seem to be moving into TV Boxset territory. We might get that Oz BluRay Boxset yet

Yeah to be fair the price tag isn't extortionate for that kind of set.

If I had the space/money to collect physical media anymore I'd definitely go for it. I'd love to see more shows get that treatment.
