Inspired by discussion in the Hulkamania is dead thread - in particular a comment by @Scratch on the very concept of a ‘Mount Rushmore’ of wrestling.

As the title suggests though, this is a thread you share your Mount Rushmore for literally anything you like.

I’ll kick things off with my Mount Rushmore of soft drinks.

1. Irn-Bru Xtra - pisses all over the regular version.

2. Barr’s Pineapple - a really refreshing soft drink for the summer months - can’t really beat this one on a hot day.

3. Moray Cup - a rather glorious soft drink that I tried for the first time this year, and although it’s been discontinued, a place on Mount Rushmore would hasten its return. Tastes like a cross between Red Kola and Cream Soda, but slightly fruitier.

4. Pimento Chilli Ginger Beer - fucking glorious, particularly with a squeeze of lime and lashings of ice. It’s exactly what you’d want from a ginger beer - a hint of chilli to burn your mouth, a strong but refreshing taste of ginger, it’s the best ginger beer on the market.

What always annoys me with Mount Rushmore discussions, in particular in the context of wrestling, is that everyone interprets it simplistically as 'The Best Four', whereas that's not what Mount Rushmore represents. The presidents represented on the sculpture were each selected for their significant contribution to the Birth (Washington), Growth (Thomas Jefferson, Sucka!), Development (Roosevelt) and Preservation (Lincoln) of the United States.

Please bear this logic in mind when you're putting together your Mount Rushmore of the Chippy Tea or Full English Breakfast.

This sounds amazing! Are there any 'big' shops that sell it, or is it a cornershop/online sort of thing?

Firstly, I also can't hear Thomas Jefferson without adding sucka, and I don't even get what Rock was on about there.

Secondly, TIL! Given that designation and that I've also just read Questlove's Hip Hop Is History, my Mount Rushmore of Hip-Hop:

1. Grandmaster Flash (not for the birth, but introducing so much in the early days)

2. Dr Dre (as the figurehead of NWA)

3. Eminem

4. Kendrick Lamar

You can get a ten pack on Amazon for £14.99 - that’s pretty much how I get it these days, although you occasionally see it in farm shops. The first time I saw it was in Scotland’s only chilli farm (now closed, sadly) in Fife, and it was just as good I’d hoped.

Well, with that additional challenge in mind - here are the four video games that shaped my love of the hobby:

Birth - Sonic 3 & Knuckles - I saw the game, I wanted a Mega Drive and to hoover up every platform game I could. I bought Sonic the Comic, and really fell in love with the character.

Growth - The Secret of Monkey Island - I wanted a Mega Drive, my parents got me an Amiga. A blessing in disguise, as this evolved my tastes and showed me a game could be about more than just platforming.

Development - Final Fantasy VII - my cousin had Ocarina of Time, but I had a PlayStation. I looked online to see what was most like OOT on PlayStation, and this came up. When I first played the game, I was seriously disappointed as you immediately take part in a turn based battle, which is not what OOT was about at all, but I persisted, and FFVII would go on to become my favourite ever game. It also started a love of JRPGs that persists to this day.

Preservation - The Witcher 3 - as my working life and personal life progressed, I felt like my time for gaming decreased significantly. I kind of felt like I might not have time for it at all at various points…but after playing this, I realised I couldn’t give up on the hobby and if anything, I try even more games today than I did back then, even if my time is limited.

Obviously I applied that logic to my first post, @Arch Stanton and I think it’s pretty obvious which drink is which so I’m not going to explain it no matter how hard I’m pushed.

Mount Rushmore of Grime.

1. Wiley - The OG, his pre-grime eski beats were the real foundation that so many built upon and are still some of the greatest.

2. Dizzee Rascal - Maybe controversial as he turned away from the genre early but his impact was unlike anyone else, both production and MC wise.

3. D Double E - The pinnacle of preservation, your MC's favourite MC and a flow that defines a genre. The essence of Grime.

4. Ghetts - Phenomenal from an early age and soon proved that grime could be "more than", he added untold depth to lyricism.

4th place was tough, so many names that could fit there and I know many would say Kano but I find his body of work just lacking compared to others and he didn't have the same mainstream impact as a Dizzee.

You should also have to say what you would keep in your secret chamber
