The Columbus Day bits with Sil were originally Paulie (which makes more sense) but Tony Sirico had surgery that series and was written out of a lot of things.

Sil being billy big bollocks until the slightest bit of uproar starts and immediately going “alright we gotta go” gets a laugh too.

I think every lowlight in the show still has some great bits. Chris’ whole hollywood script writer thing is bollocks but it still gives us Sir Ben Kingsley getting on the plane, seeing Chris and going “fuuuuuck”.

Was over in Naples at the weekend for a few days and really wanted to say 'commendatori' to every Italian person I encountered, as well as order maccaroni and gravy like Paulie. I didn't have the nerve though as the place was quite intimidating to a clueless duolingo tourist like meself.

Think I might have mentioned this a few times on here but my stepbrother is Italian and lives in Naples (its a long family story) and I've been to visit a few times.

One morning he wouldn't wake up, so I took myself off for a coffee and a fag, and when he rang me and asked me where I was, he told me don't move, don't talk to anyone and he'd come get me. He was there about 30 seconds later from a flat 10 minutes away.

Turns out I had gone for a brew in a cafe that was a hang out for genuinely connected people, and he panicked. And there I was nattering away with the waiter "eeerm...Maradona? Si si, scudetto yeah...erm...David Platt?" Maybe if I'd stayed longer I'd have got my button.

I love it but it's a proper sketchy city.
