Probably that, they never got to work and as @air_raidpointed out in House Show Happenings, they were 'booked' for a match in January 1990 or something. It was never going to take place though because Windham was already gone, the match might have been an older advertised thing that was never changed and by then Blackjack and Kendall were caught short of a few dollars in change. Paid Members BomberPat Posted October 18 Paid Members Share Posted October 18 According to Cagematch there's a couple of Hart Foundation/US Express house show matches in 1985, and a house battle royal one of those shows too, and in 1996 a Battle Royal in Dubai that they were both in. Yep. Also somehow none of Bret vs Eddie, Bret vs Rey or Bret vs Jericho ever got a 3 minute run out on a random episode of Thunder with a Stevie Ray and Horace Hogan run in. Worst of all, we never did get those El Dandy and Hypnosis matches.
davertfnewman
Owen comes closer to BW in '97 than Bret does.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 18 Paid Members Share Posted October 18 Owen and Barry actually wrestled singles on Raw in 98. It was the match where Owen messed his ankle up.
Chili
And Bret and Eddie's only physical interaction was a ringside brawl between The Filthy Animals and nWo 2000 on a Nitro. We were that close.

Right after he’d done a clean pinfall loss to Booker T on Nitro. Right when he should have been looking strong in the build to his confrontation with Bill Goldberg in Toronto. He told them no, and ended up working/beating Van Hammer instead.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 19 Paid Members Share Posted October 19 Yep. But according to some, Bret turned up to The WCW unmotivated apparently. Nothing to do with brainless booking like that. Never really thought of it before but I bet Bret and Regal could’ve had a really enjoyable match as well. Although the timing wasn’t great for that because Regal was in and out of WCW and a mess on drugs the whole time Bret was active there between early 98-late 99.

Congratulations to Jerry Flynn though, got one of Hitman's last singles matches.

Paid Members BomberPat Posted October 20 Paid Members Share Posted October 20 Genuinely one of the potential great Bret Hart matches we were robbed of was against El Dandy. I know he namedropped him in a promo as a joke, but they should have run with it and actually booked the match, and allowed Dandy a bit of a shine when Bret didn't take him seriously, because he was brilliant and they could have done really interesting stuff together. Bischoff would have said they had plans for El Dandy as a jobber and he couldn't work Bret, leading to Bret trying to figure out what on earth Bischoff is on about before being randomly asked to work at 4 minute match with Fit Finlay because WCW.

It’s a real shame we never really got to see Bret against any of the Lucha guys in WCW. I’ve got no doubt him and Dandy would’ve had a belter. Rey and Eddie are obvious dream matches but even stuff like Bret vs La Parka could’ve been so much fun. Bret always talks about wishing he got to wrestle Rey in particular and I’m fascinated by how that match might’ve looked. Closest I can get to picturing it in my head is Bret’s match with 123 Kid on Raw in 94 and that was one of the all time great TV matches ever. Have to imagine Bret vs Rey could’ve come close to that, if not bettered it. If given the opportunity though, which they probably wouldn’t have been in WCW. It’d have most likely been nothing more than a 5 minute segment (with entrances) on Nitro, ending in a DQ.
