I don't think they were annoyed at all, they knew it was supposed to be a 10 round fight, got the contract for 12 rounds, made sure everyone knew, Shalom saying it's supposed to be 10 rounds and then Cameron taking the high ground by saying I'm ready for 12 knowing BOXXER only want it to be 10 and to make sure to change to what they want, he needs to be financially compensated. I think he's played it perfectly, good on him for sticking to his guns and if could somehow pull off the win he going to be rolling in the money.

I see Chris Eubank Jr is going for the babyface role for next week's fight. He put a post up, saying Matchroom never offered any compensation to the undercard fighters from Eubank/Benn 1. After they had all paid out for training camps. So he gave them £50k to split between them.

Yeah I remember when the fight fell through in 2022 he promised to do that. I completely forgot about it until I saw a few boxers tweet that he’d paid up. Fair play to him for sticking to his word.

Howard Foster could have given him an 8 count because he was buzzed and the ropes kept him up, but why bother with that when you can just stop the fight in the 2nd round and not give Cameron a chance to recover.

No class from Whittaker or Shalom at the end running over to have a pop at Cameron's corner.

Not by design, Whittaker and Shalom have turned into two of the biggest heels in the game.

Here's Shalom calling out Dave Coldwell for the post-fight stuff. Wonder if Coldwell ever commentates on Sky again?

Shalom is an idiot for that, just wait til the interviews over and have a word.

Bad sign though not letting Coldwell have his say, can't see him being on Sky again tbh, definitely not anytime soon, which is a joke.

But look at people like Johnny Nelson, generally embarrassing to watch how he goes on for Sky, can't stand him.

I used to like Nelson, but he's parody of what an analyst should be at this point.

Still, I like to view whole thing as a big opera, they are interesting characters in the show. Look forward to seeing what comes next.

Ben Shalom legit feels like a character from the Office to me. He’s so awkward I just cringe every time he tries to have a pop at someone. As much as Hearn, and all promoters really, is a bit of a slime, he’s definitely got the gift of gab at least. Even in that clip Shalom looked lost, like he’d started something he didn’t know how to finish so had to just awkwardly shuffle off itching his shoulder and pretending to check his phone.

I got Office vibes from that Shalom clip:laugh:

Its pretty obvious that someone has reminded Ben about the wheelchair thing post-fight so he's tried to shoe horn it in as an excuse for Whittakers behaviour. There was no mention of it directly after the fight. It's abit like when Brent went and did abit of googling Dostoyecsky then awkwardly dropped his new found info into a conversation he had nothing to do with.

Shalom is a bit in over his head.
