Yeah, I bet if DAZN wishes they could go back and change that original pitch. The introductory £1.99 price point bit them in the arse too, because a lot of people just assumed that was the price they'd be staying at. People don't like to read the small print.

That bit never bothered me. I mean it was nice having it that cheap for a bit but I knew it wasn’t gonna stay that way and that’s fine, I wouldn’t have expected it to. It’s them explicitly stating that they would never charge PPV and making it their whole selling point and then switching up later that pissed me off. And that wasn’t small print stuff, they were all over that ‘no PPV charges’ shite when they were launching. Thing is if they stuck to their original plan I’d have been quite happy to pay premium subscription prices and they’d have probably had me as a customer forever.

But yeah, if they could go back in time they’d definitely leave that ‘PPV is dead’ stuff out of their sales pitch ?

But a lot of people did think it would stay at £1.99. Any time you see an argument against DAZN you'll see people complaining how they put it up from that introductory price.

They probably did genuinely believe they were going to kill the PPV model, it just didn't work out as they'd planned. Still for a 10 bucks, im happy if its giving me Matchroom, Queensbury, Golden Boy and potentially Top Rank fights. Plus PFL and BKFC, its a good deal from where I sit.

Yeah not saying nobody thought that, I’m talking about myself. I knew the £1.99 thing was never realistic long term. That wasn’t my issue. The PPV thing just really left a sour taste for me. A tenner a month is a good deal for what you get currently. With the addition of Queensbury shows it’s better than when I subbed for the 12 months last year. Like I said, I’m spiting myself but I barely keep on top of UFC and the bigger Boxing fights these days. Doubt I’d be watching all that stuff anyway. And even the PFL and BKFC, it’s only occasional shows or certain fights I’ll watch anyway. I’m never gonna be a regular follower of those promotions. The stuff I really wanna watch, I’ll find a way. But yeah, if you watch regularly I guess it’s worth a tenner a month. Just can’t see me giving them any more coin.

For me the boxing, and the wrestling when it was on TNT was an added bonus because I subscribe to TNT for the MotoGP which is really the sport I am most bothered about watching live. We had DAZN when it was cheap but like Wand says they can sod off because of the PPV situation. If there is a fight I particularly want to see from now on on DAZN I think I will just do a bit of wild swimming.

The only bonus sport I get now is Aussie Rules Football. Free kick Hawthorn!

Yes was a great little encounter that was, had all the hallmarks of a cracker.

Yes Cain vs Edwards was awful 

And I like Nick Ball but its clear to see there is a gulf in class between him and Inoue

Ball is a good fighter to watch because he likes to come forward and fight. Inoue will exploit that and Ball will experience the power of The Monster. The only unknown is that Inoue is coming up in weight and Ball is probably naturally that weight. Ball is not tall for the weight though so Inoue shouldn't have any problems. Inoue is going to fight in Vegas then Nakatani in Japan first though isn't he?

Yeah Ball will just walk onto one with Inoue won't he, Inoue loves a scrap himself, but is calm and measured to Balls bull in a China shop manner.

Does seem to be heading that way  with Inoue defending his titles against Cardenas in Vegas on May 4th and due to fight in November/December in Saudi Arabia and all things go well then against Nakatani in Spring 2026, but what  weight that will be at will be interesting as most likely weight it would be is at 122lbs with Nakatani moving up from 118lbs, but if Inoue does end up going up to 126lbs to fight Ball, you never know what happens when comes to him dropping back down to 122lbs or Nakatani suddenly jumping up to 126lbs, I would assume it will be at 122lbs if the fight happens and it definitely needs to.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how it plays out with weight, Could chuck a curveball into things camp wise with boiling back down, as like you say, the fight will be contested at 122 pounds. 

Nakatani is big for 118 and shouldn't have any issues going to 122 imo, he's actually enjoyed quite a size advantage over lots of opponents so will be interesting to see how the fight goes, I think he could even boxer higher than 122.
