NeverYield Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 Watching it now, too windy to build today so got a nice long weekend, love watching Inoue fight. Quote
Gooner Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 I give Kim credit for letting his hands go and bravery, but you can't be getting hit by "The Monster" and telling him to "come on" because 10 seconds later he's put you down and 10 seconds later you are counted out by a devastating right hand in the forth round. Inoue looked amazing and a pleasure to watch like always. It's been confirmed by Arum that Inoue will be fighting in Las Vegas next in the spring and hopefully then by end of the year we get the super fight between Inoue and Nakatani in the Tokyo Dome. What a fight that promises to be. Quote
NeverYield Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 Yeah you can't be too game for your own good vs someone like Inoue. when you start letting your hands go with the likes of Inoue you are far more vulnerable to counters, which is what I feel would happen vs Nick Ball. Turkhi mentioned he'd like to make that fight and I feel Ball would be over eager and stopped, I love watching Ball he's a little pitbull but would play right into Inoues hands Easier said than done but educated pressure and picking your moments are the key to beating inoue imo unless you catch him with an absolute cracker and stop him. Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 31, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted January 31, 2025 Good weekend of boxing ahead: PBC has a PPV on Prime tomorrow, will cost you coinage but the card is solid and the main event is a proper grudge match. Then over on Sky tomorrow, a classic prospect trying to get an aging veteran type fight: Few other bits and pieces too but thats where the interest lies. Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 31, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 31, 2025 Benavidez vs Morrell is the one. That should be a fun one. Quote
NeverYield Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Leli Buttigieg and James Todd just had a brilliant fight on the undercard of the Liddard fight. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 31, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted January 31, 2025 may catch the end of that show after watching Wales get drubbed in the rugby ? Quote
NeverYield Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Not been a bad show to be fair Jimmy Sains in a decent fight now Quote

NeverYield Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Benavidez for me, late stoppage. Morrell will have a good go of it though. This Hearn card tonight has been a cracker Quote

Can see it turning into a shootout and Morrell is probably gonna bring it hard for a few rounds but I think Benavidez gets him out of there at some point. I think the grudge and this being Morrell’s biggest fight yet could mean he comes in a bit too aggressive. That could pay off for him as well but I think Benavidez chins him in a bit of a wild one. I’ll go Benavidez by KO/TKO around 8 or 9. Quote
NeverYield Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 (edited) Not long now to find out, should be a decent fight either way, just having a read of it all in the Boxing News. Hearns show last night was a belter, could be empty talk but his recent mentions of wanting more 50/50 fights and not being interested in people picking and choosing anymore is what I wanna be hearing more of tbh, and apart from maybe the first fight of the night you couldlnt argue with any of the matchmaking last night, especially for Buttigieg and Sains. No messing. The likes of Adam Azim could take a big lesson from their willing. Oh yeah, boxing on BBC iPlayer tonight from 6.30pm Edited February 1, 2025 by NeverYield Quote
