NeverYield Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 I like Tank, like his style, but this Lamont Roach fight just isn't doing it for me. Should be fighting a Teo, or a Stevenson, Tanks resume is pretty embarrassing for his talent imo. His style is up my street but I can't get behind this. Crocker fight should be a good un, Crocker can be an aggravating character but it makes for an entertaining fight. Quote
NeverYield Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Well I've got to say fairplay to lamont roach Jr. He turned up and gave tank a good fight and it was a draw, talk also took a knee that wasn't ruled as a knockdown ? no matter what the reason you take a knee in a fight that's a KD to me No one saw tank having a fight like that with roach, and that made it very interesting. There was something in the water this weekend NY. Dib and Wilson in Australia was full of aggro. They saw 3 minute rounds as a suggestion rather than a rule and a tremendous low blow by Wilson caused a lot of aggro as well. Paddy Donovan getting 2 points taken off for use of the head, using his elbows and finally landing 2 punches well after the bell and getting DQ'd against Lewis Crocker in a fight that Donovan was easily winning. He can have no complaints as his body language gave away that he'd heard the bell. He dropped Crocker after the bell and headed straight to his own corner, not a neutral corner. He was deservedly DQ'd in my opinion. Tank in an interview after said he took the knee because a new hair product he used 2 days before had run into his eyes and was burning them. You take a knee for any reason it's a knockdown and you get counted, Tank wasn't and he was allowed to go back to his corner and have his face wiped. The scorecards were 115-113 Tank and 114-114 twice. Roach was robbed. Quote

Ha! I hope you’re not joking. What a little twat. That’s up there with some of the mad shit Wilder was coming out with after Fury spanked him. Quote

Only just caught up on the Austrailian card but saw some write ups about it the next morning, yeah very strange from Donovan, as like you say and as many have said he was definitely winning the fight so to literally throw it away is a bit bizarre, I guess sometimes when alls said and done as much as it is a sport some people just get a bit top fired up. Outrageous excuse from Tank and not a good look at all that is wasn't ruled a knockdown. Roach was 100% robbed, I felt very bad for him as not many at all (me included) gave him a chance, and he showed up for himself in a big way and got mistreated and robbed, boxers train too hard for BS like that. Paid Members Egg Shen Posted March 5, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 5, 2025 Missed the Tank show but caught up on the controversy, crazy stuff. Tank just does what he wants. I did watch Crocker/Donovan on DAZN thought which was its own form of crazy. Real heated fight with a mental ending. Donovan won near every round on my card and lost via DQ. It has to happen again but I think Crockers team will do everything they can to swerve it and fight for the World Title instead, and I wont blame them. Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted March 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 8, 2025 It was nice to see Eubank Senior taking a big piss all over the Benn v Junior fight after Harlem Eubank won. Claiming the fight won't happen and that Benn has been badly managed, should really be fighting at 147lbs and when the Junior fight falls through that he should fight Harlem. Lovely stuff. Quote
NeverYield Posted March 12, 2025 Posted March 12, 2025 An extremely inactive Keith Thurman back with a bang today. Quote
Gooner Posted March 13, 2025 Posted March 13, 2025 Teraji vs. Akui for the unification of the WBC and WBA World flyweight titles. Wow, what a fight, that delivered in every way. I don't want to spoil the result in case people haven't just watched it live, but if you get a chance to watch this later on when it's repeated on Sky Sports, check it out, you won't be disappointed. Paid Members Egg Shen Posted March 15, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 15, 2025 The final Queensbury show on TNT tonight before the DAZN move. 3 solid fights on top of the card. Cain/Edwards probably the standout. Nick Ball should walk through Doheny. Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted March 15, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 15, 2025 Sad to see them go from TNT. I subscribed to DAZN for a year last year and it’s up now. They took the last payment in February and I’ve not renewed it. Spiting myself really but just on principle I’m not giving them another penny. ‘Game changed’ only for it to stay the same. I’ll be watching tonight though. Looks decent and I’ll always tune in for a Nick Ball fight. Quote
DarloKid Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 how much its it a month now @wandshogun09 ? i fucked them off when they put it up but got a email a few weeks after cancelling offering me it for £7.99 a month for a 12 month contract Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted March 15, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 15, 2025 Think its £9.99 a month now if you lock in for 12 months. £19.99 a month if you wanna dip in and out. 10 bucks is pretty reasonable for what they are offering now, the PPV inclusion will always sting though. Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted March 15, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 15, 2025 That’s the problem. They say it’s £9.99 a month but they still whack the best fights on PPV for £20-25 a pop, despite originally saying they’d never charge extra for PPV and it would all be included in your subscription. Pretty much every time there’s a fight of real note, they put it on PPV. And they don’t even offer it for less for subscribers. Greedy lying bastards. I’ll find other ways to watch or go without.
