Product reveals have started coming out from San Diego Comic Con, one of the big events for toy makers

Among Mattel’s upcoming lines are Penta’s first figures in the company, an Elite 3 pack of Piper, Orndorff and Orton Jr with a Piper’s Pit backdrop, the Steiners in the Michigan colours in that Superstars line that’s only available here at Forbidden Planet and the weirdest one, a Street Fighter crossover line of Elites with Mysterio as Ryu, Final Boss Rock as Bison, Cena as Guile and Warrior as Blanka

Does anybody have any experience buying from other countries?

I bought a series 11 Crush on eBay. I'm trying to complete my collection and just need a 123 Kid (with or without fork). It was from Germany and being sent by DHL. I've been following the tracking and it's now saying it can't be delivered because of a surcharge and it's being stored. I'm assuming it's an import tax or something. Bit of a fucker, but I'm willing to pay.

Only problem is they haven't given me the option to pay, said how much it will cost or anything like that. Just that it can't be delivered. I messaged the seller and he basically said I need to pay the tax, he had to pay tax to send it. So not very helpful. I tried the web chat with DHL Germany. It was obviously in German. When I asked if we could speak in English, they replied that they only speak German and maybe I could find a translator. That sentence was in English!

I tried calling the UK DHL number. Never get an answer. They don't have a web chat option, just an email. So I sent them a message. They say they get back to you no later than the next working day. This was three days ago and I still haven't heard anything.

I just want my Crush! I've paid enough for it that I'm not going to just write it off. But I'm not sure what else I can do. Maybe contact eBay. But I'm guessing that would lead to a refund and I'd rather have the figure. Any advise would be very much appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like the seller may not have put the correct info on the customs form when sending. I may be wrong, but doesn't Ebay usually sort all of the tax on sales their end?

On the tracking does it say that it's in the UK being stored? The only thing I can think of is, if you can't contact DHL on-line / on the phone, is to see if there's a local hub near to you and give them a visit. Bit of a pain, and they may not be the office holding your parcel if it hasn't been sent onto them, but at least you can speak to a human and they may be able to give you some assistance.
