Paid Members air_raid Posted September 8, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 8, 2015 I don't believe so. They did tag on the January 95 and January 96 Clash of the Champions, which easily could be confused with PPV shows though.
Reznor
Slamboree 95. Â Sucks that they never gave us a Savage / Vader feud with some singles matches.
Paid Members air_raid Posted September 8, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 8, 2015 Well, there you go. Another chapter in the "Hogan vs Vader but Flair does all the jobs" run.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted September 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 9, 2015 Hogan wanted Brian Pillman to taste a big boot and a legdrop for the finish to that three cage shit at that WCW PPV, which would have been absolutely insane. Paid Members eugenespeed Posted September 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 9, 2015 I remember buying Uncensored 1996 from a tape trader back in the pre You Tube days as I'm a big fan of World of Sport and wanted to see Haystacks in WCW.  My god that was depressing.
kostan
I actually enjoyed those ppv's and have fond memories of them. For some reason wrestling was more fun in that era.
Abe_Knuckleball_Schwartz
The Heroes of Wrestling PPV was an absolute stinker and featured Jake Roberts on not one of his better days - if no one has seen it, try and make the effort it is so bad. kostan
Heroes of Wrestling is b-a-d... such a shame, because I love the concept of a legends show.
Doctor Whos Next
Going back to WCW's Dungeon of Doom nonsense, its hard to believe that the early nWo stuff which started less than two months after this drivel was from the same company.
kostan
Even though the Dungeon of Doom def was crap at its "finest", for some reason I still enjoyed it. I've started watching wrestling/ WWF in the mid 80's and it was nice to see some of the wrestlers from that era again. Sure, I was ashamed of the crappy Dungeon storylines, but it still made me smile. Â Any other people had the same experience?
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted September 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 9, 2015 I bloody love the Dungeon of Doom — there's a late period Dungeon promo (seemingly about a week before the Giant turned nWo) that sums up how shitty awesome they were. Kevin Sullivan is my rasslin' hero.
AshC
I am kind of sad that prospective Haystacks vs Flair match never happened. Would have been a real historical curio at least.
darkship
Bushwhackers vs Sheik and Volkoff from Heroes of Wrestling is more Wrestlecrappy than the main. Even in their peaks, that match would have been the absolute shits, and 1999 was a long way off either team's peak. The heel team has an anonymous manager hanging about for whatever reason. They piss around doing the national anthem. There's stalling for so long that Larry Zbysko would balk at it. All of the moves are as good as you might expect from the billion-year-old Bushwhackers. Â The main is a complete catastrophe but I always think of Wrestlecrap as being amusingly ridiculous in concept and execution. Bushwhackers vs Sheik & Volkoff in 1999 is more along those lines (to me at least) than Roberts vs Neidhart in 1999, it's just that the latter was completely ruined by Jake's apparent Andre-level bender prior to the match.
