Guest
Just rename it top dance-pop tunes rather than any single that's been in the charts since 1990. "pop" is too broad and basically translates to "best song". Dance-pop seems to be what you're getting at and is a much simpler category
Paid Members Surf Digby Posted August 15, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 15, 2015 Can we just pick a volume of Now That's What I Call Music and be done with it?
TAP Management
Ok. Â Does anyone mind if I just close the thread and start again, taking on board the feedback above? Â Would it be possible for a mod to delete this thread?

Moderators PowerButchi Posted August 15, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 15, 2015 Still no love for the 1960's? I'm out.
Harry Wiseau
Yeah, get rid of the 2010-2015 category and have a 60-69 section. Ruling out the 60s means all the best songs by the Monkees, Stones and the Beach Boys etc don't count. I'll give it a go though.  Daydream Believer is better than anything released 2010-2015 though...just saying  We still have to pm them, right? Guest
"pop" is too broad and basically translates to "best song". by this I meant it would be impossibly hard to make such a poll worthwhile. You've just lost yourself a vote for 'Boom Boom Boom' by the Vengaboys (would be my pick for a dance-pop version of this thread.....and in general to be fair, let's not kid ourselves)
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted August 15, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 15, 2015 Can we just pick a volume of Now That's What I Call Music and be done with it? Now 32. Few songs on there that arent absolutely belting. Name me another album where you get U2, Jimmy Nail and The Outhere Brothers on the same album. Merzbow
Seems like a bit of an effort but it'll be worth it just to vote for Lethal Bizzle - Pow. Â Crackkk your skullll, innit.
The Dart
"All songs nominated must gave featured in the Official UK Singles Chart which has ran from 1969 until the present day. " Â But the charts started in 1952.
TAP Management
Taken from Wikipedia: Â Before 1969 there was no official singles chart. Record Retailer and the BBC commissioned the British Market Research Bureau (BMRB) to compile charts, beginning 15 February 1969. The BMRB compiled its first chart from postal returns of sales logs from 250 record shops.
