MichaelMush
I just think it's a little strange that no details have been given about it. Maybe they will say something over the weekend on the UK broadcasts of Smackdown, Experience or whatever
twelve_grand
So the rumours are that PPVs will be blacked out for 24 hours? That would be very annoying.

Paid Members JNLister Posted September 25, 2014 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2014 I think it ultimately traces back to some guy on Digital Spy claiming to be a beta tester, but there was no evidence he had any credibility.
twelve_grand
Yep - that is indeed it which is why I said "rumour". With Sky not seemingly having anything to do with it you could imagine they have some exclusivity on PPVs which makes it seem more credible. Edited September 25, 2014 by twelve_grand
MichaelMush
It's been a long time since I actually ordered a PPV on Sky, how much is it these days, still around ÂŁ15?
Paid Members JNLister Posted September 25, 2014 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2014 Somebody's spotted this on the UK iTunes store: Â Â Which works out at almost exactly $9.99 a month. And of course, means it's not going to be Sky exclusive (and presumably not Sky at all.)
The Dart
Does that mean it's available now?  It does say on wwe.com  BY October 1st, not on October 1st.   Anyway, Network not working on my PC at all!  Anyone else's WWE App crashing all the time?  Not just going on the network page, but everything. WyattSheepMask
Will try this next week but I was thinking: If I have a subscription to the network already and download the app and everything to my iphone, will I be able to watch it through my 'US' account that I have now but just be connected in England? Surely it would be just like streaming any other kind of content wouldn't it. Edited September 25, 2014 by WyattSheepMask
Paid Members JNLister Posted September 25, 2014 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2014 As far as I can tell, if you're already a subscriber, everything will work exactly the same as now but you won't need to use a VPN/DNS/other service that disguises your location. (That's assuming the PPV blackout story is bollocks.)
Paid Members JNLister Posted September 25, 2014 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2014 Does that mean it's available now?  It does say on wwe.com  BY October 1st, not on October 1st.    There's no sign of actually being able to make the purchase yet in the iPhone app, though that may be different if you don't have a WWE account/network sub already. Either way, the geoblock is definitely still active.  FWIW, Brian Elliott just tweeted that the new issue of FSM next week will mention/confirm that it's not going to be a channel on Sky. MichaelMush
So will be able to stream it on games consoles or does no one know yet? Edited September 26, 2014 by MichaelMush
WyattSheepMask
No one knows and most likely won't know until Wednesday. So best thing to do is have a good weekend doing something else other than wondering about what no one has answers to
Paid Members JNLister Posted September 29, 2014 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 29, 2014 Just confirmation in case there were still people with any doubt: the promo material for the WrestleMania 31 travel packages specifically says the event will be on WWE Network. WyattSheepMask
UK Launch has been delayed. No launch date has been given but WWE have said they will make an announcement by November 1st apparently Edited September 30, 2014 by WyattSheepMask
