Seeing as though no bugger will tell me I Googled 'magnus wrestling' and now I know what he's on about.

Stop trying to get TNgay wrestlers over in WWE threads, Loki

That's sublime stuff from Lister.

Gladders, do you never watch any TNA at all then?

I agree that Magnus is better than Wade, both on the stick and in the ring. Pretty much everything about Barrett bores me stiff. He's not shit, but he's just not interesting. I dread him getting a WrestleMania match.

Fair enough, Taz is pretty rotten. You would probably hate him even more these days, he's a heel announcer aligned with a gang of bikers.

On the whole, I'd say TNA is worth a watch if WWE doesn't quite satiate your wrestling needs, but it's currently nothing worth going out of your way for. I'd guess you've probably got enough to be watching in the way of films and pornography.

Pretty much. I only watch Raw every other week, I haven't even bothered with this week's. I have meant to try TNA again a fair few times but I just can't be bothered.

That was the case in 2010. It's not anymore. If anything, it's gone the other way. Barrett, presumably via his five thousand matches with the fantastic Sheamus and Randy Orton, has turned into a more than decent wrestler. But his verbal game, or at least his character, has regressed.

Personally, I find his in-ring work to be pretty forgettable. He's just another wrestler when he wrestles.

I agree that it's his character regressing and not necessarily his skills, that has got everything to do with him being lumped into the weird World of the auto-pilot midcard. Give the bloke a decent program and feud and I think he'd step it up a few levels. Right now he's just floating about, trying anything and everything to get noticed.

Ha. For such an obvious joke, I didn't half chuckle.

Well, once you'd started, you had to finish.

Bravo.

This is the first RAW I've watched all the way through without having read any spoilers in advance for forever (probably since the last one I tried to watch after a decent big PPV).

I thought it was great, for the most part! Impressed they managed to fill that much time without me getting bored.

Highlights:

- Rhodes Scholars and Faaaaandaaango are some of the funniest mid card comedy heels for ages. I personally love theri schtick, and Fandango is getting a great crowd response too.

- Sweet T. I'm glad that he has been reduced back to his appropriate station in the pecking order, and I actually like him now he's in an appropriate role (fat dancing idiot).

- Halle Berry / Kane segment/film advert, for pure unexpectedness and stupidity.

- Ziggler/Bryan match. Hot shit!

- I still think Sheamus is a goofy dork most of the time, but he was really good in the tag match. Very fired up when he got the hot tag and the crowd went nuts.

- Menry/Ryback segment was nice. Normally I like big men killing shit but when they face each other it is generally a slow and boring anti-climax. It probably still will be for them, but damn if they haven't sold it to me well so I'm excited, against my better judgement! (Ryback still doing the march before his slam when he's supposed to be really angry was a bit silly though). Does anyone do a musclebuster these days? Ryback should do that. It would look great.

Also enjoyed Mania build stuff from Brock and Punk stuff. Billy Gunn is looking and acting more and more like Hacksaw as he gets older.

The Highlight Reel segment was a bit of a mess, but it really didn't stand a chance with the commentary team shitting on it. That was just awkward all around. First impressions of Maddox are not good though!

The Miz's movie looks fucking appalling. Also, I still hate him.

I just mentally switch off for the Swagger/ADR stuff. They both bore me. I do like the idea of a heel nationalist racist though; pretty novel for wrestling.

edit: I really also enjoyed reading through this thread having actually seen the show. It's nice to be into wrestling again (even though I know it'll fade again after 'Mania).
