Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted October 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2015 I have to say, I do love Garbages "The World Is Not Enough" song, even though I despised the movie. Probably the best bond tune of the last 20 years and deserved a better movie to succeed it.
DeanoTheGame
I watched Tomorrow Never Dies for the first time a few days back and thought it was class.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted October 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2015 So like half the Bond films then? I actually remember the first time I watched Die Another Day, I thought it was pretty good and was taken with Rosamund Pike as I think she'd been in Loaded a couple of months prior  Pierce Brosnan got really old between "The World Is Not Enough" and "DIe Another Day". He looked old and tired, like Sir Roger looked in "A View to a Kill".
The Clint
Moore was really too old to be playing Bond in Octopussy. They should've never talked him into doing A View to a Kill. Still Roger Moore will always be my fave Bond. Live and Let Die had everything you could ever want in a Bond movie. Full of action with plenty of humour. Oh and a young Jane Seymore. Paid Members gadge Posted October 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2015 Just seen Spectre. Not as obviously exciting as a standalone film as Casino Royale or Skyfall, but entertaining all the way through and draws a line under the 4 Craig Bond films nicely. Â Yes, it even references Quantum of Solace.

Mr_Danger
Wrong hole Branquey. Â Speaking of older tubby Brosnan, I fucking loved The Matador and really wished he did more of that sort of thing post Bond. Splendidly sleazy.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted October 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2015 Would love a like button for that one, Danger! Â On the back of that, his new one Survivor is the shits, but I quite enjoyed the November Man in the midst of the whole influx of 'Aging Male Stars Go Straight Neeson' flicks. Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted October 29, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2015 Once David Baddiel (shit name drop) gave me a really hard time because I recommended a film with old Pierce Brosnan in it to him when I worked in a video shop. It was after the sunset or the matador, I vaguely remember him insisting I must have been lying when I said it was good.
gbacon85
Â Â Thanks for that. Love the 30 for 30 series and I really enjoyed Foxcatcher. It's grim as anything but its well acted by all involved even Channing Tatum who probably didn't stretch himself too much to play the role of a monotone meathead. Â Still desperate to get hold of the Team Foxcatcher tracksuit top that Steve Carell is wearing when he's on the shooting range, but to no avail FYI, that documentary is on BT ESPN tonight at 10.00Damn. I missed it.Any idea if it will be repeated? According to Virgin, not in the next 2 weeks dude. I'm sure it'll be online somewhere?

Mr_Danger
That fella out of 50 Shades would probably have suited the role but he'll be tied up with that franchise for a while. Don't ban me.

Can't think of anybody like that now that stands out. Gerard Butler perhaps? Edited October 30, 2015 by bAzTNM#
