UKFF Battle Royal

In somewhat of a fucked up dream, it turns out that we, the forumers on the UKFF, are actually wrestlers in a proper promotion. Should such a bastardized dream come to fruition, I'd imagine we'd be quite a diverse roster considering the variety of colourful characters we have on here. In this scenario, the UKFF's richest prize, the UKFF Heavyweight title, is up for grabs after being declared vacant by C.E.O neil due to a controversial finish at the last event. What happened then is up to you, and so is the result of the battle royal (how many participants is up to you's lot) and the NEW UKFF British Champion! There will be NO extra points for sucking up to the anonymous panel. Not that you can anyway, because they're anonymous.

Book a UKFF Battle Royal

Pick a winner.

Extra points for how you manage to portray the posters of the UKFF.

Okay, i'll probably update it with some more pics (if thts allowed but here is mine. Enjoy oh and *Disclaimer, dont take offence, theres nothing bad in it!" it probably needs good edit too, but as long as its up, right?

You bastard, Freebird! I eliminated Ian, I had that match sewn up!

Side note - Nick, I'd be happy to see further UKFF-related scenarios in future rounds. A battle royal has been great fun to read and that fun could be kept up with things like Gladders & Loki vs Dangerous Weathers for the tag team titles, Maxwell Murder in 'The Tattoo Parlour', Neil hitting the Banhammer on folks before firing them, TwoSheds as a backstage interviewer, Big Benny HG embroiled in a feud with the faction known as The Shitarses (complete with a higher power), Frankie Crisp entering to 'World's Nicest Man', Power Butchi hitting the Good Arrows Elbow Drop, a Richie Freebird Death Match with death-defying moves like the Barrow Island Driver, the Shipping Forecast and the Bommy Night corkscrew moonsault...

... Or it could be shit. The battle royal was fun, at any rate. Might be best just to leave it at that, now I think of it...

I think there's enough mileage to do the Battle Royale scenario every time we do this. That was loads of fun, but there's potential for a bunch of other angles you could take on it.

Nexus revisited

In 2010, the contestants from the first series of WWE's NXT programme invaded the main event of Monday Night Raw, ploughing through everyone and everything in front of them, from superstars to ring announcers. Barrett, Gabriel, Slater, Bryan, Tarver, Otunga, Young, Sheffield (Any more?) ran roughshod over everybody. They were fresh, exciting and everyone was talking about them. Most of them are still kicking around today, but have struggled to recapture the heights they reached as part of that entity. This scenario takes you back to the first show after their attack on Raw.

Book what happens over the course of the next few months for the group up until Wrestlemania 28 in Atlanta.

20110620_mitb_past_r.jpg

We begin the story in the same way as real-life events, with the attacks on Steamboat, Vince, Bret the trashed set and Daniel Bryan’s dismissal including the Fatal 4-Way interference and beyond to the Money In The Bank Sheamus/Cena cage match. Nexus try to get the key, it's thrown into the crowd. They try bolt cutters, only for the brave referee to take them away. He pays for this as he's powerbombed through the announcer's table. Tarver, Young, Slater, Gabriel and Otunga climb the four sides of the cage. Cena and Sheamus fight them off valiantly but Slater manages to get over and tussles on top with Cena, who puts him onto his shoulders, AA FROM THE TOP OF THE CAGE! Slater looks dead. Barrett's had enough and sends in The Artist Latterly Known As Ryback AKA Skip Sheffield who rips off a gimmicked cage door in a feat of monster strength. The Nexus are in, and it looks like curtains for Cena and Sheamus. Sheffield meathooks Cena with a clothesline as the rest of the Nexus finally get in. It's 6-on-2 as Sheamus is taken out before Cena is jumped by the full gang. A few moments pass and Sheamus finally wakes from his beating. The group is pre-occupied with Cena and Sheamus spots his opportunity. He crawls out the cage door and the bell rings, but there's no music as the Nexus don't even acknowledge his victory. The mugging of Cena continues as all 7 members hit him with their finisher. Barrett goes under the ring for the final full stop... THE WRENCH. A bloody Cena is clocked out and left unconscious as FINALLY security make their way out to the ring. Vince McMahon is here and everything, it's serious. The Nexus come quiet, as there's no escape for them. They're lead away by police as Cena is stretchered out, not moving.

Next night on Raw and neither Cena or Nexus are there. Cena’s been hospitalised and is undergoing treatment, and the Nexus have been banned from WWE for their actions. A week later, John Cena reappears, still not 100%. He talks about the Nexus beating and says that in all the years he has been here, he’s faced 7-foot-plus monsters, fought in TLC and Hell in a Cell matches, but the attack at Money In The Bank was the first time he has felt genuine fear in the ring, where there was nothing he could do and that his career would be over. He calls out Sheamus and says he’s a coward for leaving him for dead. The anonymous GM books a 6-man tag with Cena, Morrison and R-Truth taking on Sheamus, Jericho and Edge. During the match, Nexus make their way to the front row, having bought tickets, There’s a brawl between Morrison, Truth, Jericho and Edge which see Nexus jump the barrier and get involved. Security pulls them apart as Raw ends. It’s ON Cenation vs. Nexus - Summerslam. Tensions in Cena’s team are teased, but in the end they get along like best buds, as we all know.

Summerslam_2010_Logo_by_tose1028.png

Summerslam - We're down to the last two from each. John Cena and Daniel Bryan who has returned as the seventh man for Cena's team and Wade Barrett and Skip Sheffield who has disposed of 3 men single-handedly. After a valiant effort, Daniel Bryan is eliminated while John Cena is unconscious on the floor. Cena gets in at a 9-counf and manages to hit Sheffield with a fluke AA to get a pin. The adrenaline's rushing now, SuperCena's here. Barrett rushes at Cena but is drop toe holded to the floor into a STF! Barrett looks like he'll pass out when Sheffield NAILS Cena from behind with the wrench. Cena's out! Barrett adds the final insult with a Wasteland for the 3-count.

800px-Nexus_victory2.jpg

On Raw, Nexus come out for a celebration ceremony where Wade Barrett announces that he will be cashing in his guaranteed title shot at Night of Champions. The anonymous Raw GM states that it will be a 6-pack challenge with Sheamus, Barrett, Orton, Cena, Jericho and Edge. Cena goads the Nexus saying that they have to resort to underhanded tricks to get the job done. Barrett refutes this and the Anonymous GM then challenges Cena to a match against any member of Nexus, where no other member of Nexus can interfere. Cena chooses Skip Sheffield. It's a powerclash as two big hosses smash each other about, ending when Cena spears Skip through the barricade causing a double countout. The Nexus immediately come out and ambush Cena. Jericho, Edge and Orton come out and chase Nexus away, but where's Sheamus? Over a few weeks, Nexus tease a new member, interfering in Sheamus' matches. Cole, Lawler and Striker ask where Sheamus' allegiances lie, can he be trusted? Sheamus protests his innocence . It all comes to a head when Nexus take on the other 5 competitors at Night of Champions in a one-fall 10-man tag when the Nexus refuse to engage Sheamus, with the match grinding to a halt until Jericho blind tags himself in. The match ends in a no-contest when Cena, Orton, Jericho and Edge rush the ring and brawl with the Nexus members, and the referee throws the match out.

Night of Champions - The 6-pack challenge sees Jericho, Edge and Cena being eliminated leaving us with Barrett, Orton and Sheamus. Cole starts chucking out theories about who's working for who. Orton eliminates Barrett, but Sheamus wins when Barrett cracks Orton over the skull with the title belt, knocking him out. Afterwards, Barrett goes to shake Sheamus' hand, only to receive a Celtic Cross and a Brogue Kick, Sheamus is anti-Nexus. It's now Raw and Sheamus is first out, only to be mugged by Nexus. It's a brutal assault as Barrett bawls that no-one uses the Nexus and gets away with it. Out comes Cena who's had enough. He's lays it on the line. HIAC PPV - Cena vs. Barrett. Cena wins, Nexus is done. Barrett wins, Cena must join Nexus. Nexus can’t interfere or Cena wins. What follows at HIAC is much like real life, Nexus try to get involved only for Barrett to stop them and the locker room emptying to clear them out the arena. The end comes when a fan tries to enter the ring, only to be caught by security. Another fan clocks Cena with a loaded boot to give Barrett the 3-count.

That’s right, Cena’s joining the Nexus. If he doesn’t do what Barrett says, he’s fired. Barrett revels in the humiliation by ordering Cena to do get the tea, carry their bags and wait on them hand-and-foot. He also places Cena in matches against friends such as Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne and Santino Marella. Barrett forces him also to destroy them afterwards by putting them through tables etc. which Cena does with reluctancy and a guilty look on his face. Fast forward to the Bragging Rights PPV where the mega 7-on-7 match is about to begin. The Nexus invade, Barrett explains that he’s forced Mr. McMahon into including Nexus in the match as a triple-threat-team match, with a team of Barrett, Cena, Slater, Gabriel, McGillicutty, Harris and Otunga. Barrett nominates Cena to start and does not allow him to tag out, leaving Cena to put in an ironman shift as the legal man for 30+ minutes, eliminating 5 people, before being ganged up on by his teammates and eliminated by countout. Nexus goes on to win.

survivor-series-2010.jpg

Next night, it is revealed that by winning the Bragging Rights match, Wade Barrett will face WWE Champion Randy Orton at Survivor Series. As Cena defeats Orton on Raw, Barrett is able to choose a special enforcer. It’s Cena. Barrett tells him if he doesn’t win the title, Cena is fired, but if he does, Cena is free from Nexus. The WWE Universe debates whether or not Cena will help Barrett. In the match, the referee is bumped and Cena comes into play. Barrett has a clear pin on Orton. Cena does his job and rushes in… 1! 2! Will Cena actually count it? NO! Orton kicks out in the nick of time, but the damage is done, Cena looks at his hand in horror and realises that if Orton hadn’t kicked out, he would’ve counted the pin without hesitation and handed Barrett the title. Cena looks disgusted with himself, shakes his head, rips off his referee’s shirt and leaves. He’s gone, and this time it’s for good. Cena isn’t seen the night after or for the rest of the year, He even misses TLC where Barrett defeats Orton in a Chairs match to retain, but all the while questions are being asked. Where’s Cena? Will he overcome this confidence crisis? Josh Matthews goes to West Newbury to find him, but nothing. John Cena is gone… UNTIL

Royal Rumble - Barrett takes on Randy Orton in a final match for the title. Both men kick out of an RKO and a Wasteland and it looks like Barrett's done for. Orton has the momentum and goes for another RKO, but Nexus come out and try to intervene. The midcarders pour out and get rid of them. In the chaos, the referee misses Barrett being handed brass knuckles by Otunga and wallops Orton with them. Wasteland spells the end and Barrett has escaped again champion. An exhausted Barrett looks delighted… BUT WAIT! JOHN CENA'S BACK! Instead of the usual surprise Rumble entrant, Cena's back with a vengeance and is gunning for Barrett. Wade is bricking himself but he tries to rush Cena with a brass knuckle punch. Cena avoids it, causing Wade to drop the knuckles, before being AAd! Cena sees the knuckles, the prone Barrett and the rabid fans. He picks up the knuckles... WHAM! Cena begins to exit when suddenly THE MIZ comes out with his MITB briefcase! He's cashing in! He stalks Barrett as he groggily tries to get back to his feet, SKULL CRUSHING FINALE! Miz is the new WWE Champion!

The next night, Barrett is fuming. The Nexus take out their frustration on Diesel who had returned the previous night at the Rumble, with Barrett spraypainting a yellow N on his back. Over the next few weeks, Booker T, Rey Mysterio and even the Big Show succumb to the numbers game. Cena feels it's time to end it all and challenges Barrett to a match at Wrestlemania but is refused. Barrett sets him the ultimate gauntlet, taking on Otunga, Gabriel, Slater, Harris and McGillicutty inside the Elimination Chamber. If Cena wins, he will receive his Wrestlemania match.

ec.jpg

Elimination Chamber -. Heath Slater’s up first for Cena. Cena tries to quickly eliminate him, but Husky Harris gets in before he can and the numbers game comes into play. Eventually, Cena finds an opening and sends Slater flying through the glass of his own pod. Cena locks the AA on Harris as the clock ticks down for competitor #3. McGillicutty is going insane at the referees to let him out, but when he finally does get out, it's too late, Harris has tapped. 1 down, 4 to go. McGillicutty tries to catch Cena off-guard, but Cena grabs him… AA TO THE STEEL! Cena battles on as a third man makes it into the ring, and Nexus begins to take the advantage. By the time Gabriel gets in, it's 4-on-1. Cena scrambles to survive, eventually ending up placing Gabriel in a pod and locking him inside with a bit of referee's help. Cena battles back, making sure to seperate the members and keep each mandown for as long as possible. Soon, he's able to eliminate McGillicutty with a roll-up as the other two are out the ring. The Chamber door opens, Cena shoves Slater out to the floor and closes the door, locking Slater out! Cena grabs the key and keeps it inside the ring. Otunga is left alone with Cena, he only lasts a few minutes before he is vanquished. Slater goes insane on the outside with a chair, smashing up the Chamber and even a referee! He grabs the key to Gabriel's pod and lets him out! Gabriel gains the momentum and is able to unlock the Chamber door for Slater to get in with the chair! We're back to 2-on-1 as Nexus finally begin to take hold with several dramatic nearfalls. Cena looks done as Gabriel tees up a chairshot but misses and whacks Slater! Cena punches the chair and sends Gabriel tumbling, before spearing Slater through the ropes and into the ring for the pin! Slater's eliminated! Gabriel and Cena have a great five-minute exchange where Gabriel moonsaults off the Chamber wall. The end comes, though, from a rookie mistake as an in-control Gabriel primes for a 450 Splash off the top rope, before getting lost in the moment and deciding to climb onto the pod. He crashes and burns as Cena rolls out the way and is able to hit an AA and win! Post-match, we see Wade Barrett who was defeated by The Miz in the earlier WWE title match after Big Show interference at the top of the entranceway for the big Wrestlemania staredown.

2010_11_18-2010_11_18_14_40_24-jpeg-42162.jpeg

From then on, it's full steam ahead on the Road to Wrestlemania as Barrett and the rest of the Nexus engage in dual fueds. As Cena and Barrett begin to edge closer to the winner-takes-all match at Wrestlemania, where if Cena wins, Nexus must disband, but if Barrett wins, Cena must retire, the Big Show continues to cause problems for Nexus with the return of former WCW cohorts Rey Mysterio, Kevin Nash and Booker T from their Nexus beatdowns. Barrett claims that at Wrestlemania he will do what the nWo never could, win the war once and for all, in the heart of WCW, the Georgia Dome. Show comes out and challenges the rest of Nexus to a 5-on-5 match against his team of WCW veterans. But who is the 5th man? The mystery is solved when after weeks of taunts, Cena finally loses his cool and goes for Barrett, this causes the whole of Nexus to appear and begin beating down on Cena, leading to the arrival of team WCW. The two teams brawl, with Nexus getting the upper hand until GOLDBERG blows the roof off of the arena by returning to Raw. He wipes out the whole of Nexus to a massive pop with Spears, Jackhammers and Gorilla Presses all round. This leads to the inevitable confrontation of Cena and Goldberg, who close Raw staring into each other's eyes. Nexus gains a modicum of retaliation 6 days before Wrestlemania at the go-home Raw when they attack Goldberg as he makes his way out to explain his return, they beat him down until Barrett pulls out A CATTLE PROD! In a repeat of Starrcade '98, Barrett stun guns Goldberg and leaves him out on the floor.

wwe_wrestlemania_27_0014.jpg

Wrestlemania – The 10-man tag is your standard multi-man affair with the crowd watching with baited breath as Nexus dominates and Goldberg waits for the hot tag. At the approximately nine-minute mark, Goldberg is tagged in to a huge pop and clears house. Slater is speared and jackhammered to near death for the pinfall. After this, Cena and Barrett have an epic battle, going well over 20 minutes. In the end, Cena is able to finally exact his revenge and defeat Barrett to rid the WWE of Nexus.
