The Four Horsemen
Well, the election is here again. Looks like its going to be a close one this time though. Â Personally I think Obama is going to squeek it, but only just. Â If you goto CNN then you can have a go with their electoral college map, here's what I ended up with: Â
Forrest
I've said it a million times and I'll say it again. How can we expect this country to pick the right person to lead the free world, when they can't even peel the skins off chips? Â I'm fearful that Romney will win it, because every other country in the world knows who should win apart from America. The fact this mormon nutter has got to the stage is sad as it is. Whoever put that write-up on the Twatlist for him is bang on. He wants power simply because he can have it. Obama needs to win.
Paid Members Ronnie Posted November 6, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2012 Personally I think Obama is going to squeek it, but only just. Aye, me too, but it's ridiculous that he's not on course for thrashing Romney. What an electorate they have in the US. It's at complete odds with the rest of the world. It just doesn't seem rooted in reality. The poorest people in the country were those yelling loudly "Don't take my money and give it to someone else - that's socialism" in trying to sink the provision of universal healthcare. Â The Economist published in 2008 a map of how the world would vote if it could. 90% of votes cast were for Obama, covering the world with a sea of blue. Â Â This year is about the same, with Obama polling 79%. Â Quite why Romney is even competitive is a mystery to me.

deathrey
Same here, I really don't understand how he got so far. The idea of him winning really does scare 10 shades of shit out of me, it's scary so many American's see him as a viable option.
The Four Horsemen
They were talking about Obama and Romney's personalities on CNN this morning and one the "talking heads" put it very bluntly that "Romney scares me even more than Bush Junior ever did!!" Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted November 6, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2012 It's quite amazing that Romney is so close, given how much of a shambles he has been leading up to this. Shows how little faith a chunk of America has in Obama though. Â The forecast for growth in the next 4 years is extremely positive, so whoever wins this will go down as the President that helps drag the US out of the hole it's in. The thought of that being an odious individual like Romney makes me want to punt Wild Cat Willie.

Stormy Weathers
I hope the romney wins to be honest. The last 4 years have been boring as shit and people have been way too happy I miss the Bush years when everything was kicking off and the world was a scary place. Â I mean before people call bullshit.....let me explain the worse the government the better music and art comes out. When the youth have something to rally against the more creativity flows. Â All the best music was released under Republican governments. It just stands to reason I mean look at the state of England in 1977 during the punk rise. Â I hate what Romney stands for that's why I want him in office.......complacency is the enemy of creativity

The idea of him winning really does scare 10 shades of shit out of me, it's scary so many American's see him as a viable option. Â Â This is a pretty popular stance at the minute. I totally get what you're saying but, when I see this all up on twitter and facebook from Brits there is a definite vein of condescension towards Americans in the attitudes expressed. Not pointing the finger at you personally but I think collectively anyone with David Cameron as their leader really shouldn't have the gall to be smug about... well, anything politics related.
