WWE Money In The Bank 2011

There is one way to not make them look weak though. Just not do it. It goes against Cena's whole character. Cena was willing to give the belt up the other week because Vince wasnt going to give Punk a fair shake. Now you expect him to pretend he has a belt he's already lost? That isnt in his nature. And again, WWE are supposed to lie to a casual television audience and give a wink to those who watched the PPV? Its confusing and it doesnt help anyone. It doesnt even help CM Punk, because the people the night after who didnt watch the PPV (a high percentage of the WWE audience) will just think he's been beat and left and thats it. I cant see any advantages in it at all.

Fine, have Cena come out at the start of RAW and say he doesn't agree with what he's been told to do, everyone at home knows what really happened last night and if they don't they can look online but he's not allowed to say it on the air or he will get sued by Vince. Have him lay down the belt in the ring and so he won't go along with this farce. You can then go from there.

Or you turn Cena heel and he does go along with the whole plan.

Punk has cena beat, vince hits punk with chair, dq, punk leaves, but gives him good spot to come back at say survivor series to challenge cena

My gut feeling on this is that Punk has agreed a new contract with WWE but will be taking some time off (sort of - see below). I think perhaps the fact that the WM28 main event is already planned had genuinly pissed Punk off, so perhaps as a sweetener the have already agreed a Punk V Austin match for WM28 and agreed to run the current storyline.

I would like to see Punk beat Cena, then the Raw MITB winner come down. Everyone is already kinda speculating that the MITB winner would then beat Punk and save Cena, but Punk beats them also, and then leaves with the title.

The next night on Raw, they state that CM Punk has been stripped of the title (pretty easy get out). They can run an angle where Cena gets his job back (again, fairly easy get out), and they carry on as they normally would.

But why have Punk win in the first place?? Well, they could then send Punk to other companies (ROH, NJPW) etc as if he is is working independantly (maybe showing up unannounced??), proclaiming himself to be WWE champion and banging his drum about how WWE are getting it wrong and that he is a Pro WRESTLER etc, basically going on a crusade, he would be given a heros welcome in ROH even TNA if they could swing it??!!

This would create interest and keep his character buzzing and keep his character in the public eye. Obviously all this happens whilst the WWE don't fully acknowledge what he is doing and try to carry on regardless. He would almost be like a Voldermort character in as much as noone in the WWE should not mention his name, with all the internet fans being his deatheaters.

When he finally returns perhaps he brings a whole bunch of his followers to watch WWE programming again.

sending him to other companies would be the exact opposite of keeping him in the public eye, WWE is as mainstream as wrestling gets, nobody else is even close to mainstream

Agreed, but if Punk was leaving anyway, they wouldn't have been able to get his face on WWE programming anway. It would be keeping him more in the public eye than him not being around at all. At least this way Punk gets to go out and do what he enjoys... being a "wrestler" on the indies, and kinda gets to recharge his batteries, but WWE get a benefit from it and can use it to build a return and some interest from the fans that they are trying to get back.

Im so pumped for this show, best hyped show of the year outside of Mania and Summerslam is really going to have to have something special to beat it, especially if they really are trying to rebuild it as a big event with meaning. Ill be watching it live after I get back from Fozzy in london tonight and I really don't see this working anyway other than punk winning. I think he might have signed an extension until Summerslam or something. Aslong as this isnt the end of a story, Cena wins or someone who doesnt need it wins MITB and then cashes in Ill be happy, they have got to make the most of this momentum and get something out of it long term.

Surely you cant hand the case in during a match. Wouldnt you have to wait for a match to end for a contract for a title match to be valid? MITB has a few rules to it doesnt it? You have to be standing for the match to start and all that shite the Miz went through last year when he was waiting for Sheamus to get up off the floor for the bell to ring.

They can change the rules as and when they want. Although the standing up thing is obvious, as the MitB has to be cashed in for a championship match and as seen throughout the years no match can be started until bother men are on their feet and ready to begin.
