Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 26, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 26, 2011 Larry Z just said "this Sunday there will be a new world order in professional wrestling." Pretty cool allusion there, although Hogan does correct him 6 days later. new World organisation, wasn't it? It was always going to be the New World Order, and Hogan even said "New World Order" once or twice in his heel turn promo, but Hogan seemed to be in the zone and kept fucking up and saying New World Organisation. Larry probably just heard it in a booking meeting and decided he might as well try and get himself over, which wouldnt have been out of the question with WCW's commentary team at the time. Okerlund came up with the term "Outsiders" at the Great American Bash, though. They werent going to be called the Outsiders until Okerlund slipped it into interview he was conducting. Â Going to have to rewatch some Nitro's now. I was big into them a few months ago, until Fileserver began laughing at me.

The King Of Swing
Mean Gene is worth his weight in gold. Â Indeed. Â http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KuzYTXEPFE Â And based on some of the vids I have seen or Miss Gunns I bet Mean Gene has banged her in every hole. Reznor
Don't you fucking DARE let this thread die. Benoit describes himself as "silent, but violent" When i saw this thread plummetting down the page I described myself as a conversation stopper  Anyways, my WCW lot for tonight was all Pillman with a fun TV match from '90 vs Flair, and two or three vs Brad Armstrong from late '91 - early '92, one of them as Badstreet at a COTC with Pillman hitting an Eddy Honda headbutt to the guardrail. Also, a surprisingly decent match vs Alex Wright from GAB '95.
The King Of Swing
Pillman also had a good and heated taped fist match with Big Baz Windham at SuperBrawl I thats worth checking out.
MinceMcMahon
I watched Bash at the Beach 1997 earlier too, forgot how good the cruiserweight match was! Â I miss those days but then I also miss alternative rock, music videos, skateboarding and the 90's in general
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted March 26, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 26, 2011 - Favourite WCW Event? WrestleWar 92 - War Games  - Favourite WCW Singles Match? Flair vs Steamboat Chi Town Rumble or Flair vs Funk GAB 89  - Favourite WCW Tag Match? Midnight Express vs Southern Boys - GAB 90  - Favourite WCW Gimmick Match? War Games easy  - Favourite WCW Angle? NWO is the obvious one but I also loved the Goldberg/Jericho and Sting/Vader stuff  - Favourite WCW Moment? Hall & Nash invading Nitro. That was such a mindfuck as a 10/11 year old with no internet to ruin the surprise. I had no idea they'd left the WWF at the time.  Ron Simmons winning the title was pretty cool too. Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 27, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 27, 2011 More Tiz. Â It's 10 Years since he last hit the announce table on a big wrestling show. WWE wants fresh faced newscaster types? They want a play-by-play man for WrestleMania? They have a big announcement for Raw? I have a feeling we may see the return of the Big Tone. WrestleMania's tagline could be "Changing Our Tone and Bringing Back The Tone".

Moderators PowerButchi Posted March 27, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 27, 2011 He never did Mania did he? I know he did Summerslam 89 and Rumble 90. Was he still even still in WWF by Wrestlemania VI?
