The Cum Doctor
My Chemical Romance are headlining one of the festivals this year, so they said on one of their UK tour dates. Anyone fancy guessing what one? Download and Reading seem like the most likely, and I reckon we can reduce that down to Reading.
Paid Members martyngnr Posted February 14, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted February 14, 2011 Soni are raping Download something rather fierce. Yup. Download has been left standing this year. Unless they announce Led Zeppelin as the 3rd headliner then Sonisphere really will wipe the floor with them.
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted February 14, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted February 14, 2011 If Download announce Pearl Jam as the last headliner with Velvet Revolver (w/Corey Taylor) as the Friday sub then they're back ahead of Soni IMO

Paid Members Bettencourt Posted February 15, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted February 15, 2011 Six more for High Voltage: Thunder  How many Farewell tours ae they going to have and then ignore?  They're worse than Ric Flair!  Still, if they were to do another "Farewell Tour" I'd not be unhappy. I think Thunder are great!
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted February 15, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 15, 2011 So enough of this metal. I'm strongly considering hitting up Soundwave in Croatia this year. It looks great as an all-round package and the line up is really starting to shape up. Also Croatia has been getting mad popular for the last few years, I'd really like to go before it changes too much.

The Inequitable Judge
A friend of mine just rang me from work with a list of bands playing Download this year. I'm sure I haven't missed any off the list as she went through it 3 times & I checked spellings (not heard of most these sorry... Me & my lady are Glasto people but she knows my mates are into Metal) but after reading this thread before I'm sure this is of interest here

Paid Members Bettencourt Posted February 21, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted February 21, 2011 Black Stone Cherry and Puddle Of Mudd only ones that interest me there. Well, Def Leppard to an extent as well. Â why has Rolo Tomassi been booked for their second year in a row? I have the unfortunate opportunity to see them last year. Nothing else was on so me and my bro took a wander round to the second stage while sipping on our milkshakes and they were on. Â I have not heard such shit in all my life to be honest. Â NME loves them and they are indie kids who want to be death metal? But just sound like a bunch of fannies!

Kenny McBride
It's the thought of Dizzee Rascal at Download that raised my eyebrows the most. Am I the only one who can see him getting bottled off the stage?
Harvey Dent
Well Download officially announced Down, Twisted Sister, Duff McKagen's Loaded and Trash Talk last night which suggests this list isn't accurate. Still seems pretty realistic but I'm clinging onto hope that it wont be Def Leppard.
Twatters
It's the thought of Dizzee Rascal at Download that raised my eyebrows the most. Am I the only one who can see him getting bottled off the stage? Â Lethal Bizzle got bottled throughout his set at Download a few years ago (despite being pretty good) and he took it well. Â I can't see Dizzie being at Download, surely he is to big to be anywhere but headliner, and imagine the uproar if he was.
