Paid Members Dearly Devoted Dexter Posted April 8, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2012 Steven Seagal : Lawman. It's not supposed to be a comedy, but it's bloody funny anyway.....
ukfan11
Anyone watched Dirk Gentley on BBC Four? Watched the first episode and pilot from 2010 and thought it was ok, but felt a bit like a cheaper/spoof version of Sherlock.
Loki
The new Ricky Gervais series looks in excruciatingly poor taste.
Paid Members FLips Posted April 9, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted April 9, 2012 The new Ricky Gervais series looks in excruciatingly poor taste. Â I thought that, but after looking it up it turns out he's dropped the original "disabled" spin on it and he's basically doing an impression of the Autograph Hunter he did in one of his shows (Science?) and he works in the care home, he's not a patient there. Â So basically he's a big greasy nerd, as even playing a disabled person was too bad taste for him.
ukfan11
The new Ricky Gervais series looks in excruciatingly poor taste. Â I didn't think it looked in poor taste, the thing that got me is how shit the costumes/wigs and stuff looked. Looks like a parody rather then an actual mocumentary. I'm still going to give it a watch but I don't think it'll be as good as the office or Extras. Â Speaking of Extras, I've just started watching Episodes with Stephen Mangan and MAtt LeBlanc, which is pretty good, stayed away from it at first has all that I heard about it was Matt LeBlanc but once I found out Stephen Mangan and Tasmin Greig were in it, decided to give it a shot. King Pitcos
Episodes is a bit crap. Given the cast, you'd expect it to be a comedy, but it's just a weak drama with slight comic touches. A bit like Entourage. Very watchable, mind.
ukfan11
Think that's one of the reasons I enjoyed watch first couple of episodes, that it's not just constantly joke after joke. Not really into comedies like How I met your mother and the like.

King Pitcos
I've been put off by its similarities to that Nic Cage film Knowing.
d-d-d-dAz
I haven't seen it. As it's a Nic Cage film, I don't think that'll change any time soon.

Paid Members Maverick Posted April 9, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted April 9, 2012 Or Leaving Las Vegas? That's a fantastic film, might be my favorite actually. Love it.
d-d-d-dAz
I've seen The Rock. I think I might have seen Con Air, once upon a time (does it have Steve Buscemi in it...?). Â That's about as far as my knowledge goes.
