Springer and Gilding out of the Euro, which is surprising, especially considering the form Gilding has been in. Springer was abysmal.

Pikachu has a new pre throw, anti-Dartitis, routine, which looks nasty, but seemed to do him no harm when it came to the doubles.

Doets for the win this weekend.

Springer really shat himself in that game. He seemed to think the ref had counted wrong in the first leg (I don’t think he did), and that completely threw him off for about 10 minutes. By the time he picked up a bit, it was way too late.

Nice to see my boy Wessel pick up the win, though he started rubbish again. Really dug himself out of a hole to come back against O’Connor.

I do feel bad for Pikachu but he’s like Toylo levels of unwatchable at the moment. I tried to skip his game but it was still going on decades later.

Can’t believe Menzies made a comeback and wasn’t the bottler for once.

That was crazy, wasn't it. 6 legs in a row.

Genuinely think that the Pikachu match from yesterday may be the longest ever first to 6 match. On the PDC website I jumped forward ten minutes twice, and it was still going on, and that was me watching the first couple of legs too. Crazy stuff.

Thoroughly enjoyable Euro tour as always, though I'm disappointed neither of my boys made more of an impact. Nijman's doubling fell apart in the quarter final and Springer's B-game is just so far away from his A-game. Really felt Justin Hood could go on a proper run after his first couple of games, but he was very flat in the 3rd round. My actual dream from Friday night/Saturday morning (probably influenced by Springer going on late Friday night), was sitting at a table with Nijman and Springer and chatting about how they had to play each other. I mean, they've played each other on the Euro tour quite recently, so it's not like it would be much of a stretch. Not very exciting for most people, granted, but I was loving it. LOVING IT.

Anyway here's Ryan Joyce's amazing finish from Friday:

And here's an incredible 10 seconds of a song about Dave Chisnall (at the beginning and end of the clip):

Woodhouse having an amazing run the last month or so. Hes on fire. Menzies is looking in great nick too

Literally only just caught up on last weeks Euro. Was a lot of fun. Think every match was only a 90 average, which was crazy. This was the week to step up, and the likes of Nijman blew it on the big stage again. Starting to be a bit alarming for him, Id imagine. Great crowd last week too, and I do like the crowd shots when they are intentionally trying to find people mid mouthful of food, too.

Theres a great little mini battle for the last remaining spots for the Matchplay too. Gurney, Cross, Heta, Menzies, Chizzy, and a bunch of others all fighting over a handful of qualifying spots. Lots of them hittiing some good form too at the moment, so its making the Euros a great watch. Speaking of form...De Decker is done for, isnt he? Looks absolutely wrecked these days. Plus hes defending something like 200k of money in the next six months, and doesnt look likely to qualify for the Worlds. What a fall from grace.

If De Decker doesn't defend any of his ranking money he's going to end up ranked mid to low 40s probably, which would be a nightmare for him. He looks like someone that just wanted to win a major, and now it all looks a bit much for him. The top end of the rankings from Littler down to 32 is cutthroat. For example. Peter Wright is at 34 with 46% of his money to defend. He's going to need some good days to stop sliding further let alone get back in the top 32.

De Decker's just not been on it in R2 of all these Euro tours, pissed away so much ranking money. Ross Smith was only a few grand ahead of Nijman until that Euro tour win, then he won on the floor as well.

Speaking of my boys, I'm not too worried about Nijman. Wade is one of his bogey players, and yeah, he definitely should have finished him off, but these things happen. He's young and he'll keep getting that big stage experience. He has won a Euro tour averaging 100+ in most of the rounds, so it's not like he can't do it. I watched his match against de Graaf on the floor this week and JDG's finishing in that match was just fucking ridiculous.

The Joyce/Kist match - come for the 150 finish, stay for the woman refusing to eat chips on camera (but who gets caught on camera eating chips anyway).

Chip woman was great! Was a few other ones which were funny too.

Nothing as funny as MVG getting pissed off with Elvis during the last World Series event, and getting the ref to remove him from his little waiting area. It was super low hanging fruit, but 'Elvis has left the building' by the commentator got a hell of a laugh from me.

MVG is so bizarre to watch for me these days. I keep thinking "hes past it", but then have to remember he averaged 120 odd just a few weeks back, and then won this World Series. He just always seems on the knifes edge of either being great or really average. Its just strange watching him average a 100 but then it still seems like his consistency during the match isn't there. Don't get that feeling with anyone else.

His throw is so different and snatchy now. You can see how he lines up when he’s going to miss a treble or double. There’s no consistency in his throw.

Imagine backing Wales to win the World Cup and then seeing Price withdraw. What a waste of money that would have been. Massive shame too, as they were the biggest to England, considering GVVs form.

Any dark horses from the lower seeds/unseeded we fancy to get to the semis or final? I'll pick Norway and Japan from the unseeded lot. Poland and especially Ireland to do well too, as OConnor is in good form too.
