  1. In my opinion (and it is only my opinon) they were. Now you can say that was a disciplined, mature performance all you want, and that is your prerogative, but I really don't care that it was Man City. You are chasing a title, you don't set up to get a point, when you know you have such outstanding attacking qualities. That's pathetic. If you have to leave yourselves open so be it. Go and outscore them. That's what Klopp would've done. That's what any other manager chasing a title would've done. I saw videos of Arsenal fans celebrating that 0-0 like a victory. Have some shame. Yes it's better than going there like you did last year and losing 4-0 or whatever it was, but you were all that happy with that? YOU'RE CHASING A FUCKING TITLE! I have no doubt that Arsenal will win a title sooner rather than later. OK fine. And they clearly play some nice football. OK fine. But Sunday was one of the worst games I think anyone has ever watched, and in my opinion a massive mistake. If they'd attacked and taken it to City (which again, let's just pause and remember that Chelsea have done it this season, a Spurs team with DAVIES and ROYAL as CBs have done it this season) they would've won. And won big. I don't think City are anywhere near as good as they were last year (especially the defence) which was at times, impossible levels to compete with. Arteta* can say he changed his style for one game and he was right to do it all along. To me the way he approached that game shows me he doesn't believe his team is that good enough to play the way they always play, and that's a detriment I'm afraid. *far, far too long talking about this cunt and I should be ashamed of myself.
  2. I love a stat like this. @Ange rescue Mainoo!!! Editing wanker!!!! Sorry Dev didn't see your image had the same.
  3. 5 and a half minutes? Nah, you're alright
  4. I like the gimmick, I just cringe at the name, but I guess that's the point!
  5. This absolutely needs to die I'm afraid.
  6. When they start banging on about gabagool:
  7. Curl Bill? Kill Bell? Rep-ervoir Dogs? Pulp HIIT-tion? Sorry, depression/manicness needs outlet tonight.... ....wait....SAMUEL BELL JACKSON!
  8. Ignore that. Just watched the Roman Reigns doc. I hope he wins and holds the belt forever.
  9. I've just had a flashback of my first "script" when I did Film Studies which had two men rat-a-tating dialogue back and forth about Barney the Dinosaur and the two lads he hangs around with, and how they were actually some sort of slave operators. "Barney?" "Yeah" "The Dinosaur?" "Yeah" "...the Purple Dinosaur?" "Oh you think he's just there to teach maths?" Good grief. It was an unashamed rip off of Clerks, which was a very important film to me when I discovered it in my teens. Crucial word that, teens. I thought I was going to make films and change the world when I saw it. And it was "inventive" film making, and I wanted to know as much about the production process as I did about the actual film. It was inspiring, and I still love Clerks, and Mallrats (as that reminds me of a friends house where I would feel safe and we'd watch it over and over), ditto Chasing Amy. I'd probably watch his new films, as you all know I'll watch any old shit, but he hasn't made a good film since Dogma, let's be honest and if he retired now I wouldn't care, but he was inspiring to me for a good few years and I'll always appreciate that. "In a row?"
  10. You've posted a floating Spurs shirt. Why?
  11. 100% this. I like Punk, I pretty much always have, and I really enjoy listening to him speak as I find him funny (and I fancy him) But I still think he's a bit of a nob who acts like a nob, and definitely don't think he's justified in choking someone, even if it was just a little bit. He's a mentalist most of the time. And for me there is one other crucial piece of information and that's that when it comes down to it, I really don't care what any of these massive man-childs say or do, as I don't know them and it doesn't affect my life, so they can all say or do what they want. Does anyone actually get genuinely annoyed or offended when Punk has a pop at the Bucks or vice versa? If so, why? Even when they were beefing in the same company, it didn't particularly affect me as I don't really watch that company much, but I understand that for some, Punk did sully their viewing of AEW as it bought a lot of drama and meant some of their favourites weren't on TV for a bit (is that right?) All of that's not me being "too good for wrestling" by the way, at all as I'm not, but this is all just a bit of fun for me. I'd like them to throw stupid jabs at each other forever if it entertains me. They're a bunch of fannies. All of them.
  12. @Sergio Mendacious man I might have to block you, every post has me so jealous!
  13. Erm, excuse me? Yes that's absolutely what he's been known for ffs.
  14. Just been reminded of a band called English Teacher in the gig thread, and recall seeing the most dreadful band name recently and that's Borough Council. BOROUGH COUNCIL!!! They might be the best band in the world but I'll never be listening to them. The absolute state of it. Other ones that have upset me recently are Soft Play, Personal Trainer and The Snuts, as it's just an annoying word to say. Jealous Nostril another shite one. Off to shout at clouds and form a band called Repairs Department, or the In-Trays.
  15. I know we already have a thread, but it's full of someone who I'd rather not have to see the posts of. Anyway, eldest wants a player for her birthday/Christmas so please give me your recommendations. I'd rather an all in one system with speakers but happy to be talked into otherwise. The price of vinyl these days, she will be taught very quickly that the bulk of a collection is made up of second hand gems/markets/boot sales and charity shops. I've already bought her a couple and was pleased to find Dark Side Of The Moon for 15 quid (everyone should own that on vinyl surely?) which is a good price for me. Also started following that Cheap Vinyl twitter account but recommendations on decent sites and shops (let's be honest, just in my small area of Hampshire) would be welcome too, as well as seeing all your lovely set ups and collections again!
  16. As well as being a crisp nonce and a football shirt nonce, I am also a bit of a soda nonce. I love fizzy drinks and drink far too much of it if I'm honest. There might very well be a cost of living crisis going on, and I like everyone else, have had to make sacrifices, but I still will think nothing of spending £2 on a can of Fanta if its something I have never had before. Which doesn't sound a lot but it is to me. I also just really like trying things I've never had before or things that you can't normally get, similar to crisps. Clearly, and there will be NO debate about this, Coca Cola original is the best. THE BEST. But these are some I've enjoyed recently. Also, all cold drinks welcome and most of these aren't fizzy. For instance, I've tried most of the Prime drinks, and they're alright, far too sweet for me, but I can see why my 10yo likes them. Some of these purchases are her strong arming me into getting them, but I need very little cajoling. Coca Cola Quebec Maple I was REALLY looking forward to this, and it was nice, but a bit too close to Pepsi for my liking. I do like Pepsi, and will drink it, but it's not a go to for me. You can taste the maple syrup flavour, which is great, but a tiny bit disappointed. 6/10 Mountain Dew Fruit Quake Just fucking rank. Like drinking raisins. 2/10 Mountain Dew Spark Raspberry Lemonade Forgot to take a photo, but this is wicked. Like drinking refreshers. 9/10 Various Gatorade and a Peace Tea I enjoy a Gatorade, so these were all good, but the apple one (green) was the standout. Will definitely be buying again. The Peace Tea was outstanding, and now pick up one whenever I see them. 8/10 Sprite Lemonade Legacy Obviously I bought this for the hip hop themed can, but it was really nice. Strawberry Lemonade is always a winner in my opinion. Have I, a 38 year old man, kept the empty can? Maybe. 8/10 Arizona Mucho Mango A fairly insipid effort if I'm honest. Not worth what I paid for it all. 4/10 Arizona Fruit Punch Much better. Not too sweet, and a nice mix of flavours, even though I can't tell what they are. 7/10 I also got this cool Coca Cola bottle but it just tasted of normal Coke (Obviously a good thing) So there you have it. It's clear, that just like with crisps, I am easily swayed by a gimmick drink, and love to try anything "new" looking even if it's not something I particularly like. For instance I don't even like Dr Pepper, but you better believe I'll buy one if I see a new flavour. I had a Jurassic Park one recently. It was shit. So what are your go-to's? Anything interesting recently? Do you mainline Pepsi like SpursRiot used to? Are you a drinker of Satan's spunk aka Diet Coke?
  17. This is absolute bollocks isn't it and a stupid thing to say? I mean, I'm not even a fan of his, but just because he wasn't putting on 5 star technical classics, doesn't mean he sucked at wrestling does it? He very clearly didn't. Otherwise he wouldn't have been one of the biggest stars of all time right? It's like when people used to say John Cena couldn't wrestle when what they really meant was 'John Cena doesn't wrestle in a way that I personally like'
  18. Far, far too much talk of ratings on this forum these days. Is it 1998? If you want to discuss ratings, pop your shit in here away from the eyes of the rest of us. Next, fantasy booking.
