  1. (It means "you're welcome", plus I was trying to give you a wrestlingy nickname)
  2. The quoted tweet is talking about trainers themed around Cornelius (the Corn Flakes rooster mascot) being developed in collaboration between Kelloggs and Hummel, and the quoting tweet is simply about how you can get the T-shirts on early order.
  3. Was that the Terrortome event? That was hilarious.
  4. RHLSTP is pretty good, I think. But largely in line with what Pat was saying - Richard Herring is an experienced stand-up, so he makes it work.
  5. 7. Introduce a £10 health insurance charge to all tourists staying in the UK - this should generate a chunk of cash for the NHS. Bit like the "city charge" that countries like Italy levy.
  6. Athletico Mince is a superb podcast, and I won't hear anything to the contrary. I recently discovered The Bookseller Podcast, which, sadly, stopped once the pandemic hit and was never renewed, but it's still good to listen to - the production values are actually quite high. Strongly recommended.
  7. Got back a couple of hours ago from Show Of Hands' last ever London gig in their retirement tour (they're doing their sign-off gig at the Minack Theatre after this). Superb as always, great musicianship, sublime voices, and brilliant stage presence. Hard to believe those guys are in their early 70s. Was at Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush, an old music hall - nice diddy little concert venue with good acoustics.
  8. As mentioned in the Banging Sunsets thread, just got back from Rhodes, and got to try several Greek beers at various restaurants: Alpha draught is very nice - they also do one with sea salt, which doesn't actually taste salty, but it does taste a little like if they used San Pellegrino water in making it. Mythos is probably the main brand of beer in Greece - decent lager, nice cold. Washed down those keftedakia nicely. Mamos was good, slightly maltier, but again, like most lagers, best served cold in a frosted glass. This one's call Fix. Very malty, I found, which I quite like. Never got to try Fix Dark, so hopefully will try when I go again. Zythos - very clean, crisp flavour, and very refreshing. Overall, despite not being a lager fan, I enjoyed these. To be fair, these are probably the most suitable beers for the kind of weather they get.
  9. So I got back from my first proper holiday in seven years - spent a week in Rhodes, and what a lovely week it was. The sunsets were stunning - several times I went to a seafront bar to sit with a pint and watch the orange orb set behind the mountains of Turkey from across a narrow stretch of the Aegean Sea. EDIT: Accidentally included that non-sunset one at the end, but leaving it in because the colour of that sea was spectacular - the white foam, then a band of pale blue, then a deep blue of a shade that I've never seen outside the Mediterranean.
  10. The commentators were saying that it seems like he was the Labour equivalent of Ben Houchen, in that his personal brand outperformed the party's.
