Moderators neil Posted January 21, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 21, 2011 The only parts I enjoyed were Brooker and hearing JSBX on the credits.
ozzfan
Mitchell and Brooker were good, Laverne and Carr were not. Just like anyone with half a brain expected it to be.
GalaxyV.2
Laverne has never knowingly been interesting. Â I thought Mitchell with the Minister for Higher Education was a cracking, well run interview/debate. Â And Charlie Brooker being on TV too much? What? Paid Members Burchill's Buddy Posted January 26, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2011 Really enjoyed the first episode of "How TV Ruined Your Life" - pretty much seemed like a cross between screen and news wipe which of course is no bad thing. The Miz
It was very enjoyable. I think Brooker is at his most funny when he is pretending to be a jolly nice fellow to passers by lol.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 26, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2011 I didn't catch the whole thing but the "advice to serial killers" bit made me laugh particularly because of the "how to dispose of a dead body" thread we had here last week.. Baz Windham
I thought it was very good too, I enjoyed it as much as all his other stuff.
bAzTNM Fan
I laughed at the little animation about the egg in the nest that turned out to be a nuke. Like, a lot. I think it was the extended image of the mushroom cloud going on for way longer than it had any right to...
Keith Houchen
I'm old enough to remember those PIF's, thought the whole thing was excellent. It's on the iPlayer. You'd have thought Konnie would have tidied the place up a bit[/KeysGray] Â http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00y4...Your_Life_Fear/
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 26, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2011 Oh, here's a question that someone may be able to help me out with.. Â Does anyone remember what the name of the BBC dramatisation of a Nuclear Bomb hitting St Paul's was called? The music was brilliant. That said, I'm sure it'll be impossible to find a copy anyway. The one you mention is also in the Brooker Programme, think it was called A Guide To Apocalypse or something similar.
bAzTNM Fan
The couple locked in their cupboard as well, that was a laugh out loud moment. "...for about 12 seconds"

Keith Houchen
Yeah I edited my post after realising I got it mixed up with "A Guide To Armageddon". Chest, it's mentioned at the 12 minute mark of the show.
GalaxyV.2
Great show, really enjoyable watch. Love that room he was in, I've always wanted my bedroom to be like that. Not with Brooker in of course...
