I love Eubank junior. Such an exciting fighter and I personally like the showboating. Blackwell was tough as old boots though, some of Eubank's uppercuts were brutal. Glad it got stopped when it did, Blackwell basically had a breast growing out of his head.

I think if Eubank gets his pacing right, he beats Saunders. The first fight showcased his relative inexperienced and although Eubank snr is one of my all time favourites, it's not helping having him play Bobby Heenan in the corner.

Not having that pop at Chris Eubank on the previous page. He had several quality fights other than the ones mentioned. Him vs Henry Wharton is one of my favourite domestic tussles, for example. The Thompson fights were fun enough, there's a decent bout with Sugar Boy Malinga, I remember enjoying him vs Gary Stretch. And hat's just off the top of my head.

It wasn't a pop, I'm a massive Eubank Sr fan. The fights you mention were good. He always upped his game when he was in with a quality fighter like Wharton and guys like that. The Collins fights were good as well actually. But he did have a fair few really dull fights as well. It wasn't like he was Johnny Nelson or something, who was known for being boring, but he wasn't having great fights all the time either. Eubank often seemed to fight up or down to the level of his opposition. If the opponent was good enough to push him, they could bring the best out of him. But sometimes it was like he couldn't be arsed when he was in with guys he outmatched. He showed he had the capability to absolutely crush those guys in the past (the Reginaldo Dos Santos and John Jarvis KOs were great). But he was definitely coasting in some of his later fights.

What he had that Jr doesn't though, is bags of charisma. So he could get away with putting in a few dull performances. People would still buy the tickets and tune into ITV or Sky just to see his 'Simply The Best' entrance, the jump over the ropes and the post-fight interview. Jr needs to be exciting bell to bell, I suppose.

A huge mess on Ch 5, didn't really have much info at all - Turns out the Hughie Fury fight took place during the broadcast, they just didn't show it. V weird.

I was kind of annoyed but Im guessing it was simply because they didnt want to be disrespevtful if Blackwell is in serious trouble. Its sad to think this may be his last fight.

They kept blaming the lack of a doctor. Couldn't understand for the life of me why there wasn't two on hand for a televised live event.

really strange, looked like Channel 5 tried to make out that the Fury fight was happening live after the Eubank fight, but the injury just messed it up. Dunno why they still couldn't have shown it? Still, i guess there were more important matters to deal with.

I really hope Blackwell pulls through and there's no lasting injury. Just an absolute war, rabid crowd, and two warriors leaving it all in there. Its easy to route against Eubank Jr. but there's denying he's must see TV. Following him early on was real frustrating because he seemed to box below his level for ages but he's in quality fight after quality fight these days. Channel 5 boxing rarely disappoints.

Brook/Bizier was what it was. Complete mis-match, it comes off as a complete waste of time but sometimes you have to deal with the madatories.

He clearly still is boxing below his level if he's bashing up Spike O'Sullivan & putting Nick Blackwell in a coma. He had the interim world title and was a mandatory world title challenger. He gave that up to take 3 steps back, go down in the rankings and fight for the British title just because his dad didn't win it. If he steps up he has to face Danny Jacobs or Gennady Golovkin. Or even Alfonso Blanco who took his world title.

I'm pretty sure the reason ch5 didn't show it was due to them contractually having to air SuperCasino after it. They pay a certain amount to air every night I believe.

But it still seems odd in such a sport on live TV two doctors wouldn't be on hand to stop such issues. After all tvs where the big money comes rolling in from.

Peter Fury has said on Twitter there was more than one doctor there because he had to go and find another one to put the fight on. He also said "Would also say that Mike Sherman of Ch 5 is the biggest Lemon in Boxing." Looks like he tried to stop the fight going ahead. By the time they got the fight on, everyone from Channel 5 had gone including the ring girls. So Tyson had to step in and save the day.

This is from ESPN last month.

Dominic Wade's chance to challenge GGG came unexpectedly. Golovkin (34-0, 31 KOs), 33, who is from Kazakhstan and lives in Los Angeles, was going to either fight mandatory challenger Tureano Johnson or unify belts with England's Billy Joe Saunders. K2 Promotions managing director Tom Loeffler was working on both fights. Then Johnson had to drop out of the talks because of a shoulder injury. Around the same time, Saunders, who had been offered a seven-figure payday (£2.2m) -- by far the largest of his career -- turned down the fight and then made himself look silly by calling out Golovkin only after the fight with Wade was finalized.

strange, Saunders himself called Eubank out for the turning down a £1million pay day to take him on in a rematch. You never quite know who's telling the truth in these situations.

Oh, and David Haye has announed his opponent for May, he's fighting someone called Arnold Gjergjac?!

Saunders made it clear in the build up to the Andy Lee fight that he wants nothing to to do with GGG for at least 18 months as not ready for it. So trying to call him out now, yeah he isn't serious. He will milk that WBO title for all it's worth before even thinking of cashing out and losing his 0 along with the belt.
