Penta seems the most likely

Good call.

Lets hope Liv regaining the belt finally leads to Becky getting final revenge and taking it off her. And Tiffy cashing in is done as a heel turn, she’s wasted as a face.

That Je’Von Evans spot was ridiculous. Not only because it required him to take an age to get up there, which is standard for any dumb ladder spot anyway, but the way they shot it was so stupid. They held on the wide angle forever so that, just in case you were even slightly able to suspend disbelief that he might be going into the ambulance, you were left with zero surprise at all by the time he had to fling himself off the ladder to make it there. I see people saying occasionally that they’ve forgotten how to shoot creatively and this was an absolute confirmation of that for me. A little camera trickery would’ve made all the difference.

It’s the only part of the match I’ve seen and it was dumb as fuck. Increasingly elaborate, increasingly obviously safety staged with not a jot of thinking “isn’t this at least meant to look real?” all for the sake of “moments” to “go viral.” The crowd look like they went mild too. I don’t blame them, how do you get up for yet another “Oh, they’re doing a stunt” bit?

Those well known wooden ambulances

They are constantly trying to script another HITC moment, when the reason it worked so well is because it wasn't bloody scripted in the first place.

Just watched the main event this morning (as multi-man ladder matches are generally a good laugh) and thought it was absolute dogshit.  I think this was my first time seeing Jevon Evans and he seemed to be missing shit all over the place with his spinny kick things.  And the whole premise of the ambulance spot was stupid - in a match where guys are throwing each other off ladders you choose to have a (pretty basic looking) spear spot for a stretcher job?  Bizarre choice.  And yeah, the way they shot the eventual spot took away any impact anyway.  And I can't even remember where Owens and Punk went - they seemed to just vanish for the last 10 minutes.  Genuinely terrible.

Seems people speculating that Penta was winning due to him being front and center of the poster were right..I'll be sure to look closely at posters from now on so we can figure out who's winning

The show peaked with Reigns and Knight for me. Probably LA Knight’s best showing and wouldn’t have been against them shaking it up and putting the belt on him for a while.

Bronson/Oba was fine and the right guy went over albeit they are making Oba potentially too strong kicking out of two Brass Knuckle shots and a Tsunami. Not going to look great when he loses to a spear at Wrestlemania.

Women’s Triple Threat was decent although another Liv title reign doesn’t fill me with excitement.

I think the two ladder matches could arguably be the worst they’ve done. The women’s match I think struggled by not having at least one experienced person in there. When Roxanne Perez is the most experienced general and she’s 24 that has to be a concern. From Tiffany nearly knocking herself out to the spot where Lola and Jacy slid down the ladder it could have gotten really ugly. Tiffany as the winner was probably the least interesting option they could have gone for.

The Men’s ladder match however was even worse. The first 15 minutes just felt like rinse and repeat, someone would climb up be pulled down and thrown out of the ring. The ambulance spot took forever to get set up and wasn’t worth the time it took. Bron looked good in defeat but can’t say it elevated Trick or J’evon. Penta winning was the right call I just worry they won’t want to put him in either title picture and will end up having him cash in on the Triple A title.

I'm normally one of the first people to defend wrestling and always suspend my disbelief (after all, I want to be entertained) but the whole show just felt really disjointed to me.

Timing, positioning, spots — everything just seemed half a step off across pretty much all the matches.

One thing that really stood out though was how good Corey Graves was on commentary. He did a great job explaining why certain moments were important, while also covering some of the awkward missteps when they happened.

I watched the whole thing last night and I've already forgotten most of what happened, which probably says it all really.

Also, If that boy's so bouncy, fast paced, agile etc why did he just stand there watching Breakker pose for felt like two minutes rather than try to reverse, hit him, move or just get out the way?

When the quality of Corey Graves’ commentary is the one positive someone has chosen to highlight of a show, that doesn’t bode well.

I find WWE PLEs hard to watch these days, thanks to the high number of adverts and breaks in the action. I know they’re a greedy company, but there has to be a better way of formatting a commercialised show than that. I know part of it will be down to the advert-supported tier of Netflix, but couldn’t they just keep a match going and cut away for a bit? Missing some of the action is surely a greater incentive to upgrade to the paid tier than missing different adverts.

It was nice to see Penta win Money in the Bank. I always thought AEW could have done more with him as a singles act, although if he always had designs on going to WWE, maybe that would explain why they did not. Still, I’d say it’s worth making the most of a wrestler while they’re with you much as they did Jade Cargill and Mariah May.

But yeah, the wrestling was pretty much all adequate at best. I have it in me to enjoy WWE-style wrestling, at one point I’d have ranked Wrestlemania 40 among my favourite ever shows, but there’s no denying that the company feels very stagnant at the moment. It’s partly down to format, but it’s also because a lot of McMahon-era tropes have sneaked back into the booking, such as the kind of comedy he, but nobody else, found funny and a desire to do the opposite of what seems logical just so they can say they’ve pulled the wool over the eyes of their audience.

As long as they’re making money, those on top won’t care about any of that - but I imagine all of this will come back to haunt them sooner rather than later, and we’ll get some kind of refresh of the booking. I’m intrigued as to what that might look like, when the last remnants of the McMahon-era are gone; your Prichards and Hayes-types, along with Triple H himself.

Must say I do not watch much WWE but I really dislike the current product any time I tune in.

I know it's wrestling but everything feels so overly choreographed from the entrances, to the stupid spots, the emotes, to Romans teeth. Nothing feels natural anymore. It's all so jarring.

I did enjoy Roman/LA Night to some degree but the rest of the show stunk.

WWE don’t really care if the set up was long, laborious and completely unrealistic. That bit will probably never be shown again (at least not unedited). As long as they have the 5 second clip of him coming off the ladder onto the ambulance to play for ever ad nauseam then they’ll be happy.

Even showing five seconds it's still stupid.

He's on the ladder right at the end of the ring, despite the briefcase being in the middle.

Then he went through a wooden panel of the top of an ambulance.

It's dumb no matter what 😂

Bronson Reed is no doubt healthier after dropping weight but he doesn't look intimidating at all now, needs to knock the Tsunami on the head now he's smaller too

Thought Lola Vice was going to break her neck when she fell from one ladder to the other

I can see Penta cashing in on Zayn and giving it the (masked) shocked lottery win face they get their babyfaces to do, instantly making him look like a knob, if it was upto me he'd win the title and celebrate by wearing that Paddy's Day hat he wore in AEW that time

Roman Reigns has the best 2.999 kick out of all time until you notice how intently he stares at the ref’s hand during the count. Once you notice, you can never go back. The drama is gone.

Every single time. He’s lying on his back, his opponent makes the cover, and then it’s this.

…Roman kicks out at 2.999.
